Nice and clean. Good food and great microbrewery beer from El Zopilote. We had the whole fish and chicken dinner. Delicious. I ate here in April and in July. Great service and they do try to keep you cool. The various salsas were delicious!

It was a mixture of fish. The chef prepared it on the grill, fried, etc. It was so delicious!! I enjoyed the seasoning used for the frilled fish better. Not slimy that way.... very casual atmosphere with random neighborhood dogs walking in and out looking for scraps. Our waiter knew English well. My daughter who WILL NOT eat fish, even... More

We caught seven Dorado with Mijito sport fishing and the captain recommended we take them to La Palapa. Excellent advice. They cooked our fish three different ways over open coals on an open grill. Spectacular.

Our sea kayaking group had our farewell dinner here - we all commented that the food compared poorly with what we had been served while camping! Perhaps if you know exactly what to order? My fish taco was a deep fried piece of fish wrapped in a taco with NO vegetables at all - worst fish taco ever! I was... More

Lots of people take their fresh fish there to be cooked - we didn't have our own fish, but ordered off the menu. This time of year (April) sea bass seems to be mostly what they have. Friendly place, good food, good service, great outdoor atmosphere.

This restaurant is good for families and takes reservations for large groups. It is also good for couples or solo diners. It is a very relaxed atmosphere with great food and drinks. The service was friendly and fast, but not rushed. It is a darker place with candles, and the chef almost always made a cute face or picture with... More

Pretty average for Mexican fare. They had lots of choices but nothing special. Lots of regulars so it might have helped if you knew what they specialized in. Waiter didn't seem to know.
