Wonderful food in a delightful courtyard.

I visited with three friends, two of whom required vegetarian dishes, and we were all so impressed we went twice during our stay. The menu and the wine list caters for all tastes and the service is excellent. It’s has a central location and attracts people who want to dine well and have great value. There is large indoor area too.

The super attentive staff were incredible. The service is second to none. The food definitely did not live up to all of the hype.We had a beet salad that was good. Just not amazing. We also had the Vietnamese octopus and shrimp rolls that were pretty tasty. We then ordered a meatball curry dish that we sent back because the meat was extremely chewy and grizzly. They replaced it with a chicken mole that I thought was excellent. The app or all spritz that we ordered at the beginning was very mediocre. They didn’t use Prosecco. It was a Mexican sparkling wine that was very flat and tasteless. I ordered a Cadillac margarita that was very good. Overall the service made up for the lack of quality of the food. They really took care of us and I really appreciate that.

Great food two blocks from the Malecon

Nim serves food of the highest quality. My beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection and my wife shrimps were delicious. The staff were extra friendly and very attentive. Its a must for any visit to La Paz, we will definitely go again when we return.

One of our best meals in La Paz!

Tempting menu of international dishes. Each of our choices was exceptional, especially the Chicken mole (rich delicious sauce over moist flavorful chicken breast) and Moroccan lamb tagine with couscous (very tender lamb with succulent sauce). Excellent service and rather elegant high-ceilinged simple restaurant design that really could have been anywhere, and international clientele. Guitar-playing singer, an old pro, stopped at our table and sang for us. Nice touch.

Wonderful

I had the shrimp tostada and the chicken mole. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. The tostada came out with two different homemade salsas and each was unique and flavorful. One of the chefs, Christina came out and chatted, she was very personable and assured me that my vegan wife could be accommodated on a future trip. I was solo this time and sat in the bar but the rest of the property looked very charming and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant fir the: food, service, and ambiance.

Great modern offerings

We were casually exploring downtown La Pax and wandered into Nim. Friendly greetings from a courteous staff made us feel immediately welcome. There were enough English speakers to make communication easy (neither of us are close to fluent in Spanish). The menu had enough range and appeal that the hard part was to down-select. I enjoyed a Grouper filet stuffed with crab meat and my companion was very happy with the beef tenderloin.

Incredible dishes!

Incredible food! Every dish was full of flavor with perfect presentation. The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable attentive and brought our food out with impeccable timing. I highly recommend the Keppe bola and the Sopa de cochinita pibil. Two perfectly executed dishes.

Excellent Experience at NIM

Tried NIM after reading positive reviews on several sites. First step was not positive as 24 hours prior to arrival I sent a reservation request via the NIM website and still am awaiting an answer. One of my pet peeves. If you are not going to answer, don’t have a contact form. With that said, we walked in at 7:30PM and were greeted and sat immediately. Opted for the patio, which was clean and very pleasant with music at a reasonable level. Chose Summer Rolls (shrimp and scallop) as an appetizer. Excellent! For main dishes we ordered Pho and a Chicken Mole. Both dishes were very good and quite large servings. We shared a Banana Flambé for dessert, which was the perfect ending. Oh, and I should mention that the cocktails were outstanding. If you don’t go for the food, do so for the drinks! Glad to say that despite a inauspicious start, our overall experience with NIM was excellent.

Beware... Medium is Raw

Dinner tonight was much less than we anticipated in terms of food quality. The shrimp and chorizo were too salty and the fish was presented raw in the center. We had requested "medium" and "cooked". Disappointing in flavor, although the presentation was beautiful. It was a less than stellar meal, hence the low score. The server was very good but again, we had a misinterpretation of what "medium" should look like for fish. We will not be back nor recommend Nim despite other reviews which are stellar. P.S. Temperature taken upon entry.

Excellent food and service

In La Paz two separate times (January and February 2020), and after our first trip, definitely made a point to go to Nim again. Great food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. I recommend ordering several dishes and sharing, so you get the opportunity to taste as many delicous appetizers/salads/entrees as possible. Nice wine list, too.

Quite a variety

We stopped in here after traveling all day It was a nice break at the end of a long day. The menu has a wide variety - shrimp skewers, seafood caneloni, Pho to name a few options. All very good, nice wait staff, good location.

Avoid if you have any allergy

Do not trust this restaurant with your allergies. I ordered summer rolls, without prawn, which they said was easy. I explained in english and spanish that I have a severe prawn allergy. They understood. The rolls were delivered quickly, and as I was about to bite i noticed prawns inside. This would have put me in hospital. When I complained, they did not seem to understand the seriousness of their role in being careful with allergies.

Delicious and great atmosphere - gluten free options

We enjoyed this for our last night in La Paz. The food was delicious, although the beet salad was very small. I’m glad I didn’t order it as an entree! The restaurant had very cool paintings for sale inside. I wish we had seen the courtyard as it would have been more romantic. Will definitely go back

Delightful

Visited here in February 2020. Very nice ambience and the host was entertaining and attentive. I had pork tenderloin and my husband had lamb shanks, both were to die for and so much food we had to take the leftovers with us. Regretfully we had no room for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant for it's food quality, cleanliness, location near the Malecon and the friendly, awesome staff.

Excellent food and service

We ate here last night. Ordered cocktails to start. Cosmopolitan and Old Fashions. Both very good. The beet salad with oranges, popped quinoa, pistachios ,and feta was absolutely delicious! So much flavor. I want one everyday! Our entrees we superb. Grilled Shrimp with small very crispy pieces of chorizo as well as zucchini, mushrooms, and carrots all on top of a mild leek sauce. Again so much flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. My husbands pork tenderloin dish was also superb and cooked perfectly medium as ordered. We can’t wait to go back… so many more dishes to try and the staff was fantastic!
