went here around 8pm on a wednesday and was greeted by super friendly service. there's weren't many people in the place but it was clean and brighter than most steak houses.
i wouldn't just say it's a steak place though. they had a good selection...of seafood and even pizza on the menu. i had the rib eye and my partner had the shrimp. both were very tasty and we both needed to take some home. i didn't find the prices too high but they are higher than what i've seen available along the malecon. haven't had a chance to compare their offerings yet.
the maitre d was pretty funny and the waiters prompt. i'd go again.More
We stopped in last night at the recommendation of our guide/driver Eduardo. He had high praise for the steaks and pizza here. We weren’t very hungry so decided on pizza with Caesar salad. Our waiter, Rafe, suggested splitting the salad and pizza which turned out...to be perfect portions. The quality of the food was excellent. The service was high end, but not snobby. The ambiance is lovely. We would highly recommend Palermo's for a wonderful dining experience. By the way, we were dressed in shorts & although you could certainly “dress” for this restaurant, we were made to feel perfectly welcome.More
The place was clearly set to be a full fledged restaurant and the menu offers reasonable variety
But ultimately go there for the meat: this is now just a steakhouse.
Having said what the service was excellent, the tables outside have a great view on...the sunset and the Malecon ... and the meat was fantastic (rest forgettable)More
Waiter said they did not serve bolganese sauce. I said they surely do. He checked. yes. I asked to taste it. o.k. Arrived & many carrots in it , I said "no we will continue to decide." With my preference being the sauce with pasta...we decided to pass & go to another Italian restaurant. We had ordered a pitcher (jarra) of limonada, drank 1/2. Our waiter had disappeared so we called the hostess for our check. we were charged $230. pesos for the jarra. This amount is totally above an amount charged anywhere.More
“One of the best steaks I’ve ever had”, my husband said after tasting the porter house from Palermo’s. Trust me on this one, he would never say that lightly. Not a big fan of beef myself, I ordered “pesca del día. My fish was on...point. Spinach salad with nuts and goat cheese is delicious.
Kids ordered a wonderful salami wood- fired pizza and lobster tails.
We will be back! A true delight.More
