Many of the restaurants focus on shrimp and other seafood dishes, which are great, but this one does good, traditional Mexican food. So if you want things like enchiladas, tacos or chile verde with delicious tortillas and margaritas....this is the place...

Ordered take out to take back to hotel late at night. Restaurant busy on a Saturday night. Arrachera tacos not as good as we had at their main location.

They have good flavor, but the place does not looks clean. Terrible commun areas and unconfortable including their service areas. is located in a great area of el Malecon it would be good if they do an upgrade to the place.

We have eaten at this little sidewalk restaurant several times. Their shrimp tacos are really good. Sometimes the service is slow, but we are rarely in a hurry down here. It is the restaurant with the brightly colored table cloths. Their signage from the sidewalk is not very good. The price is right, too.

Raymond waited on us with verve and excellent service. He is looking to move to Canada or Cozumel! We had huge chiles renellos con queso that were probably the best we've ever had, but there were two of them and it was too much food. Our group of 7 all were very happy with the food and the Negra Modello.... More

I had the pleasure of dining at Rancho Veijo while on a snorkeling trip to La Paz in early March. After shopping at the Malecon, we happened upon this restaurant on our walk back to the hotel. We sauntered in and struck up a conversation with a patron so we could get some honest feedback on the food. The customer,... More

We had breakfast here our second morning in La Paz. I had huevos with machaca, and my boyfriend had the chilequiles. Both were absolutely delicious. Horchata and coffee to round it out. Fantastic value for the price. We dined here again a few days later and shared some guacamole and an arrachera taco - so tender and delicious! Would have... More

We didn't make it to the other Rancho Viejo so can't compare but we loved Rancho Viejo 2 so much that we ate there daily while in La Paz. We found the service to be good and food was served very fast. The tacos are amazing, the arracherra is the tastiest beef I have ever eaten and the pastor was... More

Dont get me wrong #2 is still good but the portion sizes are smaller and the service is NOT as good. I have eaten at both places and sometimes the convenience of having the second location is good but the upstairs spot on the second location is just too hot and the servers have to up and down a circular...
