We have been coming to La Paz pretty regularly for 17 years. We initially found out about Rancho Viejo restaurant from fellow boaters staying in Marina La Paz. It is just a couple blocks up the street from the marina. We have been returning to this quaint "local" restaurant frequently ever since. They serve the best Arrachera that we know... More

I had the privilege of taking 6 people from the Princess cruise ship horseback riding November 14th. After they wanted a good lunch and air conditioning. I chose Rancho Viejo. 4 people ordered Chili Rellenos and raved of how good and how generous the portions were. We also ordered arrachera (flank steak that is marinated). The arrachera is always so... More

Big and Famous beef tacos in La Paz. You can always enjoy the big variety or tacos, prepared potatoes, delicious traditional Horchata and Jamaica "aguas frescas" Well served, clean, try the variety of salsas on a well served Mexican taco in a casual environment!

Based on TripAdvisor reviews I went to this restaurant with high expectations. I ordered an attachera taco and a chorizo taco. Plus french fries. The dips that accompanied the tacos were warm and the cucumber was dry. It would have been nicer for them to be cold and fresh. I got team impression they'd been sitting round a while. The... More

This is a great little spot in La Paz when you're looking for typical Mexican food and a comfortable place to sit. Service is decent and food is good.

Rancho Viejo is a go-to place that never disappoints! The food is terrific and the service is excellent and best of all, the prices are fair! Tonight we enjoyed our favorite Arracherra Steak Tacos with new family members visiting LaPaz for the first time! They were so impressed with the quality and flavor of the steak! The extras offered to... More
