We love and enjoy everything that Tailhunters has to offer. The food is some of the best I've eaten in La Paz, no matter what I've ordered! The drinks are an excellent addition to my meal. The laid back atmosphere, the surroundings overlooking the beach and malecon. No matter how far from home you may be when you are in... More

Jonathan and Jillene run a great restaurant here! Great service and awesome food! The sunset views are fabulous, and if you're visiting from the US, you can count on sporting events from home on TV!

We had read about Tailhunters and seen some YouTube videos so we sought them out our first day in La Paz. It's unique these days to have the actual owner of an establishment come out from prepping fresh fish caught by a group on one of his boats earlier in the day, with a smile on his face to welcome... We were looking for a sports bar in La Paz to watch the game with a bunch of other football fanatics. Google suggested the Tailhunter. It was somewhat disappointing. They had the game on a big screen tv, but there were few people there (maybe La Paz is not a big football town since it is not really a tourist... More

The name threw me. I expected a much lower level of food. But it was good and good value. Right on the Malecon. Convenient. The steps up may be slightly daunting if you have had one too many bit good overall food and drink.

We had two dinners at the Tailhunter Restaurant, one off the menu and one where our catch from the day's fishing expedition was featured. The menu meal was fantastic - where else can you get fish this fresh? The other meal was special because the cooks prepared one of the fish which we had caught earlier in the day, and... More

Terrible true experience. I live and teach English here in La paz. I have been Tailhunters a few times. This last time I went with another local expat to watch the Seahawk game. After the game he paid the bill and we went downstairs where he ordered us a few more drinks. He left and forgot to pay the bill,... More

Hard to go wrong here but was nothing overly spectacular. Great fish and chips and fish tacos. Fairly typical La Paz menu. Service a little slow. Great view overlooking the malecon and the water.

The food and drinks here are amazing. Not to mention the great service and visiting with the owners, Jonathan and Jill Roldan. Bring your fresh catch of the day in for a very special dinner from the many recommendations that they offer. We will be back many more times in the future.

The dinners at the Tailhunters Restaurant were one of the highlights of our trip. Each night, we were greeted by the owners, Jill and Jonathan and welcomed by the rest of the staff. The food and beverages were amazing. The menu provided something for everyone. The staff paid attention to every last detail to ensure that our meal was perfect.... More
