Felt like one of those "lost in translation" experiences. Started with a friend ordering a margerita. For some reason waiter didn't understand ...? It went downhill from there - we got things we didn't order, got two of other items that we did order one...More

The fish I had here was really mediocre - bland flavoring, overcooked. Not at all what I had been led to expect. Nice service and good margarita didn't make up for the disappointing food.

Arrived about 8:30 pm on a Sunday night. Not crowded. Warm welcome by staff. Unfortunately, they were out of paella which is only available on Sundays. Had camarones empanizadas instead. Delicious. Others had grilled snapper filet and fried whole snapper. Beautifully presented and all said...More

We love fresh seafood, so this was our first stop during our 3 month stay in La Paz. My husband had the seafood pizza which was OK but nothing special, I had the fish of the day which was delicious. We were the only people...More

I ordered chile rellenos and was not very impressed. There was absolutely no spice to the dish. In fact the sauce seemed watery and bland. The dish came out so fast that I felt like they were already made and just nuked. They were accompanied...More

We ate here our first night after the first two places we tried, closed before six. They have excellent guacamole. Our server was very patient while we stumbled through the Spanish menu. Granted we much prefer a Spanish menu to an English one. I ordered...More

The food was pretty good, great location right across form the ocean boardwalk and with many years of tradition in La Paz. Though apparently the owner's son is now running the place and trying to turn it into a sports-bar like ambience with lots of...More

Spent an evening with my friends at the Bismarck. Took a long time for the waiter to come to our table and a longer time for the order. The food was not so great. Pricey and will not go back.

It's deep fried whole ( less guts of course) Be sure to ask them not to dry it out by cooking it too long otherwise it looses the moisture that is so essential for the enjoyment of fish done in this way. It's called... More
