We had dinner at the Bismarck on the Malecon. Atmosphere was pleasant and wait staff were good. The menu was all in Spanish so it was challenging to order but the waiter took the time explain what certain dishes were for us. My spouse and I shared a meal and had plenty of food. Prices were excellent.

On the recommendation of a local, we enjoyed a lovely meal at Bismark. We arrived early for dinner and were seated immediately. Service was good. My only caution about this restaurant is that it is open-air--it was fine as long as the large fan was pointed directly at us. When another group arrived and the fan was moved to point... More

We ate here 2 times while in LaPaz. We enjoyed the seating available on the boulevard, looking at the beautiful sunsets and people walking on the Malecon. The food was good but the menu had no English translations and the staff we interacted with had little understanding of English, making our dinners an occasional surprise- which was ok because we... Great street-side dining with a picturesque view of La Paz Bay just across the road. Lobster dishes are premium priced, but their fat shrimp al mojo de ajo are a great substitute for about half the price. Good value overall with extremely attentive service.

As I considered the Bismarck's menu, I was delighted to be offered Mexican versions of fish and shrimp. The soup with smoked fish balls was excellent; the fish chili rellenos an introduction to what the dish is supposed to taste like. The whole fried snapper was beautifully presented and very good; only the pulmo (octopus) was a bit disappointing. The... More

We happened upon this restaurant because it is rather large, open, and extends across the sidewalk across from the malecon. It was fairly busy with many families, single people eating and reading, just lots of people who seemed very comfortable here. We ordered the grilled sea bass and the marlin. The portions were very generous, so that I had to... More

It's the classic ocean front location central to the Malecon that attracted us. Food was Ok. But over priced. Would not return. There are much better.

Great fresh seafood dinner option! We had fresh "Almeja Chocolata", octopus and black shrimp, all fresh and great taste. Good ambience and service for a sunset time. Sit at the street table, it is much better to enjoy the "malecon" life.
