We are regulars from this restaurant. The new location (at Santo Tomas Plaza) is much nicer than the previous one, with ample parking space. In addition to their ceviches and sea food pasta, they have new menu offers, such as a shrimp salad and a...fish skillet that is really yummy.More

Our local guide pointed the way to this wonderful little place in an old brick building where I had my first taste of abalone in years along with course after course of shellfish and pasta dishes seasoned perfectly—go!

After walking the Ensenada fish market a couple times(highly recommended), and then googling geoduck clams, I conceived the notion that I really wanted to eat one of these monsters, it is an asian delicacy for some reason, I'm not sure why. I contacted La Concheria...on facebook and got an immediate response that they would be happy to prepare one for me in any way I chose. We picked up the phallic looking clam and found La Concheria in it's new location, up by the La Cetto tasting room in Ensenada. They took the clam off our hands and knew just what to do with it, par boiling till the casing came off and then they prepared it two ways, a ceviche and a sashimi. Both preparations were terrific but sadly these clams are bland and tough or at least the one I picked was. The ceviche was great, every bite that wasn't the clam that is, and the sashimi preparation was gently flavored to avoid masking the clam, which would have been perfect, if the clam had brought anything to the table! So long story short, let them buy the seafood or just stay away from the geoduck's, and enjoy all the creative ways the chef can prepare it! A great mix of Latin and Asian cuisine done with a very modern presentation and served by a very friendly staff.More

Went here with Josh from Baja Vino Tours. After a very fun wine tour, Josh took us here for lunch. The seafood was very fresh and the service efficient. Their new location is very nice.

We heard La Concheria re-opened so had to check them out in their new location next to the Santo Tomas Bodega on Miramar. So glad we did! We shared a dozen oysters, 3 different kinds, and all were delicious. We liked the sauces served with...the oysters, my husband preferred the soy/ginger salsa and I liked the shallot/habenero salsa (not hot!). My husband had the mixed ceviche and the octopus was particularly good. I had their fish of the day, a perfectly prepared tuna steak. Not sure what the salsa on that was, but it was divine! They are still waiting on their liquor license so only soft drinks for now, but betting those oysters will taste even better once a crisp white is sipped along with them. We will be back soon!More

This place is a restaurant that I have been looking for in north Baja for years. Chef Manuel speaks my language; wholsome dishes with high quality local seafood, cooked to perfection, & no sauces to camouflage the ingredients. I tried the clam chowder, & it...was the best I had for years, I had been travelling around Vancuver Island, & ordered clam chowder in every restaurant I ate, good... but this is much better, & the largest pieces of clams as well. The Pacific White Fish & the Yellow Tail were excellent, & we loved the desert as well! Very reasonable prices, in LA these dishes would cost $24+,& you still have to ask if the fish is wild or farmed! Thanks chef, we will be back every time we come down to Baja.More

We took a shuttle from Hotel Coral & Marina on the north end of town, it is super close (but not close enough to walk). The restaurant storefront is nestled among the touristy shops in a busy and safe part of el centro. The ambience...is hip, I could see it fitting in with a shop at Liberty Station in San Diego. For food, we ordered the clam chowder to start. It was perfectly balanced, not too creamy. We shared the pasta, it had great flavors and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The only issue was ours and that was that the table next to us had their little kid riding a scooter in and out of the restaurant, so we asked to move and that was just fine. If you do not speak Spanish, don't worry, you'll be fine here. Most of the workers will understand you and they can figure out what you are trying to communicate.More

We were referred by a local friend. This place is beyond charming. First- the drinks.... I'm not a big mojito fan, but they offered a Jager Mojito. I had to try it. We both had 2! The food- we split a collection of tostadas- shrimp,...octopus, marlin and tuna. All fresh and full of flavor. The servers- what a team! This is a place not to be missed. It's small, so go early!More

Stopped in with a group from our cruise ship - this place looked clean and modern so we took a chance. Oysters were very good - no one got sick - which is a risk with raw seafood. Owner/manager was very friendly and proud of...his place. Prices were fine and they had cold Corona's too (not always easy to find in Mexico - it's really marketed to the US more than Mexico). Nice interior they take credit card. Bathroom was clean too. :)More
