A must try for delicioso breakfast!!

I was impressed by their chilaquiles but was sold on their Plato Marcelo or Marcelo Dish. Two eggs however you want them with lamb barbacoa with grilled crusted cheese with mushrooms, roasted peppers and nopales!! Drizzled with fresh sauce!! Im a self proclaimed foodie and even I was in awe of how good this plate was. Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends. Their service is awesome and great friendly staff!

Amazing breakfast spot! It's a little off the beaten path on a small patio seating area, we didn't know what to expect, but we were really surprised. The service is great, everyone is attentive and friendly. We ordered the Marcelo dish, fried eggs on top of barbacoa and a cheese crust... Are you kidding me? Yes, it's as delicious as it sounds. We also had the cochinita, really good also. To finish off we had the banana bread, one more success. Though it was so much food we had to take it home. Great food, great service and great prices, you can't beat that. Bravo!

Excellent place in Ensenada

The spot is very cute, ideal to enjoy a breakfast with the beautiful climate of Ensenada. The coffee is delicious. We were served with an entrance of house bread and ricotta cheese with pesto, both exquisite. Order the pancakes and they were a good choice, along with the bacon that has a smoky taste. My boyfriend ordered chilaquiles with sheep barbecue, which are just amazing. Highly recommended place.

Wonderful Breakfast Experience

Wow, had read the reviews prior to arriving in town and this was the place I chose, good thing, it was fantastic. It is a few blocks away from tourist downtown but don't worry, good area, nice parking out front, across the street, and around the corner. People are right about the food here, very very tasty with good portions, not just the same food anywhere else... Good mix of English and Spanish for the staff, menus available both ways, beautiful outdoor courtyard setting for majority of the seating. Would definately come back again.

Breakfast in Ensenada

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the delicious food. We had green chilaquiles and borrego en salsa verde. Both dishes were cooked with fresh ingredients and top quality. We also tried their ricotta cheese with basil. Simply wonderful! The service was great and worth the wait! We’ll be back!

Place was full, there is nonhost by the door you have to go to the cashier to get in waiting line, staff does is best to service but when all tables are ocuppied they are kind of stretch, taste is good. They also have a icecream shop rigth next of it.

Always a great place to eat. Nice setting, friendly wait staff and really really good food. Easy to find too.. Sometimes “great” isn’t enough- but what else to say? It’s great. Stop by, you will be glad you did .

When owner Marcelo Ramonetti does something he does it right. Anyone who is familiar with his cheese or gelato operation will know that. He is of course the most celebrated cheese make in these parts. So it is no surprise that his breakfast/lunch restaurant would be a success. The food is simply delicious. And with any great restaurant in Baja, it is all about the ingredients. He sources everything from the best purveyors available and you can taste that in every bite. Notwithstanding the cheese which he sources from, ahem, himself:) The first thing to arrive on your table after you sit down is a bowl of his ricotta with some awesome bread. Just the best ricotta you're ever likely to taste. And many of his egg dishes and others naturally have a cheese component to them. The patio is relaxing. The service is great and Marcelo, as busy as he is, is usually there to say hi and seat you and chat about his next project he is planning. You can buy some of his cheese at the restaurant and his gelato shop is adjacent which is not to be missed. All I can say is yum, yum, yum!

Great meal and service

I went to have lunch for my birthday with friends and family and it was a great experience for all of us. Food was delicious and the environment is just nice overall, I enjoyed that it was outdoors aswell, it looks beautiful outside. Will be returning as soon as possible!

Out of towners pre-wedding brunch

We contacted Casa Marcelo about putting on a brunch for family and friends from the USA who had come down for our son's wedding. Gilda met us to review menu and other details about the event. On the day of the event, they had set up a long table for 25 adults and 4 kids! Enrique, Valeria, and Daniel did an awesome job of bringing out our food (which was artistically presented and was of very high quality and flavor!) There was a great balance of checking in to make sure everything was ok and of letting us socialize. The setting was also idyllic. Chilaquiles Verde with chicken, green juice (nopales, celery, parsley and orange juice), phenomenal French Toast, and the mushroom omelet were big hits! I would highly recommend this restaurant! In fact, we went back the next morning for chilaquiles and their special French Toast that we split amongst 4 of us!
