This place is one of the most famous restaurantes in Ensenada, they have fine french cuisine, however I love to eat their famous desserts, inspired in the french pastry. You can enjoy one of them sitting in the street where they have a nice place, you can have a coffee to enjoy your favorite dessert.

Every Mexican from Baja knows this is the best of the best. Classic French cuisine; married with Mexican flavor and spice and Ensenada's fresh seafood. This is a restaurant to impress and show people just how surprisingly good cuisine in Baja can be - perhaps as a pitstop on the way to Baja's Napa- the Valle of Guadalupe.

Very good service and food, one of the best places to eat a french onion soup. French Pastries is a sure shoot to your paladar. Very nice atmosphere. We'll come back.

The atmosphere is quite nice, the service is good. The food itself is not up to par. Overcooked meat and underwhelming side dishes. Sorry

We had coffee and pastries, they usually put a plate on the center of the table with different types of pastries and you pay only what you eat. They were delicious, so we end up buying them all and actually ordering more for my husband's birthday party. Highly recommended!

Sailed down to Ensenada on our boat from Vancouver, Canada. Stopping along the way of course. We were referred to El Rey Sol and so glad we did come. How lovely this restaurant proved to be! The service was excellent. In the old world tradition of excellence where service is always available without being intrusive. I had Duck a L'Orange... More

We went here for lunch last week and it was very good. I had the Duck with fresh fruit and it was delicious. My wife had the crab crepes and enjoyed it.

In Ensenada for a couple of days- El Rey Sol, has been around for a long time. First, service was excellent, attentive, without being intrusive. Ambience- ate inside, an old dining room that is like a old country club. Warm, comfortable, subdued. Food was very good:. Aguacate con jaiba, good but not quite great. Championes con vino, excellent. Langosta thermador,... More
