We had coffee and pastries, they usually put a plate on the center of the table with different types of pastries and you pay only what you eat. They were delicious, so we end up buying them all and actually ordering more for my husband's birthday party. Highly recommended!

Sailed down to Ensenada on our boat from Vancouver, Canada. Stopping along the way of course. We were referred to El Rey Sol and so glad we did come. How lovely this restaurant proved to be! The service was excellent. In the old world tradition of excellence where service is always available without being intrusive. I had Duck a L'Orange... More

We went here for lunch last week and it was very good. I had the Duck with fresh fruit and it was delicious. My wife had the crab crepes and enjoyed it.

In Ensenada for a couple of days- El Rey Sol, has been around for a long time. First, service was excellent, attentive, without being intrusive. Ambience- ate inside, an old dining room that is like a old country club. Warm, comfortable, subdued. Food was very good:. Aguacate con jaiba, good but not quite great. Championes con vino, excellent. Langosta thermador,... More

The food here was delicious. We ate there two separate days for breakfast. Coffee was delicious and the sweet bread is a must try. Prices are reasonable, staff was friendly.

We went for breakfast. I had the scrambled eggs with fish. I was a bit hesitant because the fish was stingray but my husband assured me it would be good. We could have split it because there was so much of it! He got the scrambled eggs with squid chorizo. I thought the squid chorizo was awful, but he really... More

I can't understand how can this place get so many good reviews, such a disappointing meal. They have a large menu, good amount of staff and tables, but a bit outdated atmosphere. Lots of options on the menu, but not so good food, I couldn't finish my dish. Maybe the pastries could be good, but I didn't want to give... More

For my parents' anniversary, we visited this classic French restaurant. I had passed by several times before in previous little trips to the city and had bought the delicious pastries they sold in their open-air café, but I had never ventured into the building itself. As soon as we stood in front of the entrance, a very elegant host led... More

Stopped by for breakfast at this iconic French restaurant in Ensenada. Good food and service plus nice outside seating area. Interesting place.
