We visited Ejga with my partner and we both enjoyed the food there but sadly the staff was terrible. We asked if it is possible to sit near the window but both of the staff quite rudely declined us without any reasonable jusification (the restaurant...was half empty thorught the duration of our visit). All in all reasonable prices and nice food, we would just hope for some more enthusiastic and professional staff.More
Amazing food, from soup to dessert. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. While we did have to wait a bit longer for our check due to the restaurant filling up we didn't mind. We were all in a food coma by that point and...we were all very satisfied.More
I had the very delicious homemade ravioli with Safran which is highly recommendable! The portions are not very big, but enough and the taste is excellent. Very friendly staff, too.
We stopped here for some lunch whilst passing through Jesenice. We ordered pizza’s which were fantastic. Well cooked and good quality toppings. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff, great service and excellent food for a good price. Parking nearby. Interesting lot. Definitely recommending.
We had a family lunch there. Deer stew and pizza are sooo delicious!! Really excellent. Big enough portions and good prices. Staff is great and very kind with kids. Service is very fast which is great when you are visiting with hungry kids :) Very...nice indoor also. Will come again when in neighbourhood for sure. Thumbs up!More
To start with staff: extremely helpful, happy and kind male staff - five stars there! Since they changed the menu recently, food is versatile and great menu one can combine and play with. Weekend speciality "Teletina pod peko" made us drive one or two hours...one way just to come back for more. Also "Hobotnica pod peko" which is on a daily menu is first class and deserves recommendation. When combined with "Caprese salad" it makes a wonderful experience! Deer ragu and Lamb cotelett were so exquisite that I am wondering if chef must be from another world? Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection... Place is super clean, has a nice garden area under shade of trees, discrete music in background... I could write more and more, but my caprese salad arrived... :-) 5 Stars all the way!!!More
Stopping in Restavracija Ejga was a good choice during our Sunday family trip through Gorenjska. The staff is nice and made us feel welcome. We had house burger, pizza, trout and veal which was a dish of the day. We had also 2 house deserts...and pancakes. Food was good and tasty, only pizza could be slightly more salty for my taste. We payed 70 eur which was fair price and I wouldn’t mind eating there again.More
We decided to go to a lunch here based on great reviews. We opted for a set lunch menu (very common occurrence in Slovenian restaurants on Sundays). The restaurant was pretty busy so we were hopeful it will live up to the expectations set by...TA reviews. Firstly, we went for a mushroom soup. When we got it , it was already warm, far from being hot as soup should be. It was also not very tasty, with tiny oil bubbles floating around with a few pieces of mushrooms. I'm the kind of guy who like soup hot but beer cold, not the other way around. For the main course we've got a slice of pork roast along with turkey stake blanketed by a piece of cheese along with mashed potatoes. This would have been a decent plate if the dark brown sauce it came with was way too salty. Another let down was the salad - it would have been OK otherwise if it didn't have a piece of lettuce in it that was rotten and should have been discarded. You could say it was just an honest mistake, but it does leave you with a bad taste. There were just too many mistakes in this set lunch food. On a positive, they do offer a greater variety of wine by the glass than other restaurants.More
pleasant stuff, nice food, good experience. On the way from Kranjska gora to Jesenice, local restaurant with history, in it is also some info about Slovenian skier Alena Dovžan. It also has accomodations.
You feel very welcome in the nice, cosy restaurant. We had tartar and carpaccio for starter - delicious! We also had beef, pasta, pizza and salads - excellent! Good wines and beer. Here we want to come back and stay for a week in the...nice rooms.More
The staff was amusing but very proffesional. Grilled lamb cutlets were awsome, the greek salad very tasty and refreshing. For desert we ordered a cake called The Puck of Edvin. Jesenice are known for hockey and this desert is a genuine home made and local...desert one must try. I highly recommend this restaurant.More
We stopped in this old steel town, on the way to Zagreb. Just outside the train station stands the Ejga pub and restaurant. The staff were awesome, and the menu diverse. We tried Slovenian beer and wine, with grilled squid and turkey with salad and...vegetables; excellent! The pizza looked great too! The atmosphere was very warm and comfortable, as other travellers and locals watched Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 !! Cheers.More
Delicous food, good service. Nice friendly atmosphere. The place itself looks nice. Good choice for a small familly gathering.
