We booked all five rooms for my sons wedding. They are quirky and lovely. It is very quiet so a great nights sleep is guarenteed on the super comfy beds. Breakfast is out of this world. Wake up to the sheep baaing in the next field The only slight criticism is that we had one room key without the front... More

Eaten here many times before but not Sunday Lunch and I am pleased to say it was fantastic! Duck Salad and squid to start gets a 5 star rating anyway but the rib of beef was as good as it gets: tender, flavoursome, and perfectly cooked. All the vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were very good and accompanied by... More

First visit and the food and service were first class. Not quite sure what the previous reviewer wanted but it clearly wasn't change!. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating and the food was fresh, hot and very nice. Will be going back.

The management of this well established pub/restaurant has recently changed and the outcome is certainly not an improvement. There has been a total change of waiting staff (and, I assume, of kitchen staff also) and as a result the service is now very poor - slow and inept. So bad is it that I was tempted to delete the "discretionary"... More

Duck starter to die for, superb main course. Another wonderful celebration. Service amongst the best, food without parallel. We love it! Worth a diversion from any trip.

When we arrived on a Sunday lunchtime the pub was very very hot and very crowded. So it was obviously a good place to be if it was this popular as it was in the middle of nowhere. We arrived early and had some lively gin and tonics at the bar and went outside to admire the most amazing view... More

Happened by on a business trip. You need to know where this is as it's tucked away but convenient for eastern Oxford. Food is expensive but surprisingly good. Well presented and decent portions. Would definitely go again when I am in the area. Well worth a visit, but you should probably book in advance.

Went with friends for the first time on recommendation, absolutely loved it! Warm welcome, charming friendly staff & fabulous food. I had the Heritage Tomatoes to start followed by the Magret Duck, superb! Fortunately, I had room for a pudding & so ordered the Chocolate Fondant with Honeycomb Ice Cream, to die for!!! Great wine choices too. All in all... More

My husband and I decided to visit the Mole and Chicken as it had turned into a lovely, if a bit chilly, summer evening, after a stressy referendum result day! We were met by a member of staff as we walked through the door and when I said we were only coming for drinks we were directed to a more... More

Description
The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? You don't have to, just book one of the five boutique bedrooms located next door!
