The dining room is quite large so you should get a table but it was busy on the Saturday night we ate there. The food was well cooked and tasty, efficiently served so no complaints.

The staff where professional and attentive to any requests. The rooms where very good. The evening meal was of good quality and the same goes for the breakfast. I would be very happy to eat and stay here again.

This country pub welcomes the Reading Lightweight Ride each year and provides welcome hospitality to over 50 riders. The bar service is very efficient and food comes reasonably quickly. The hot baguettes were good and there’s a good choice of beers.

Had a delicious lunch, four of us chose different meals. No complaints whatsoever. Have also been on three recent Fridays with large groups and all enjoyed our food. Friendly welcome from landlord Robin and staff.

Nice pub. Steak with peppercorn sauce was lovely. Open fire roaring away. The restaurant was quite busy but service still quick.
