Lovely for a meal out, good food and warm reception. Only concern was the menu seemed limited but the food was very good and well presented

Thanks to the recommentation of our b&b-landlady in Blairgowrie we found that hidden gem! As we were travelling the last 14 days around scotland, we gathered some experience in quality of restaurants. Our Dinner was delicious and the way of representation was very inspirational and pleasant. Our waiter (Rory?) was extremly courteous and professional. Thank you for the magnificent evening... More

Lovely pub with small garden to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Good choice of food and prices reasonable. Had the whole back restaurant to ourselves which was great for chatting. Friendly prompt service made this a pleasant evening meal out. Decent car park too.

I came to the Meikleour Hotel for tea with a friend and would highly recommend it. The service was very friendly & efficient - Jen is especially helpful. The food was brilliant - the chips are lovely & crunchy (and i got more than 10 - i counted..) and the salad i had was beautifully made & presented. The raspberry... More

Tasty lunch in comfortable restaurant. We each had a small salad which was perfect for lunch. I had the goat's cheese and my husband had the warm black pudding, bacon and poached egg. All very fresh and perfectly dressed and served by friendly staff. Lovely.

As I reflect back, I feel concerned establishments like this can get away with being so utterly unprofessional and frankly, diabolical in their treatment of customers. I have not written many reviews. But this establishment does not deserve your hard earned cash. Knowledge is power. The food arrived - poor attempt at a light lunch - and herein lies the... More

Ate here earlier in what has to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Ordered the chargrilled chicken ciabatta and chips. When it arrived a small roll with three tiny pieces of chicken sat on the plate with a messy salad dropped by a stray crow. The chips tasted like oven chips and there were only... More

Dear VonDoom2014 Our Apologies you felt that your recent dining experience with us merited the tagline "Lunch in Hell" It certainly isn't the experience we wish to offer to any of our guests, and for two sandwiches to be described as such, must have been a haunting experience. Went here on a Friday night with my husband. The food was brilliant, I had trout fish cake followed by fish and chips both were fab but I would say the fish and chips was the BEST I have ever had!!! My hubby had haddock risotto followed by steak pie he thought they were both great to. The only downside... More

Dear Jade Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed the food, and humbled by the description of "Best Ever" for the fish & Chips. The Bar area can get a little cramped on busier nights, and we are in the process of adding to our dinning space. Hope to you soon Greg More

We come here quite often for a light lunch,as we love the food and the ambience. A really pleasant country pub! The Christmas menu looked good,so we tried it out and were very impressed. Starters were pheasant terrine and stilton and pear tart, both delicious. We both were tempted by the full turkey and trimmings main course, which was also very... More

Description
This destination dining spot is set inside the historic Meikleour Hotel, a picturesque, ivy-covered inn located between Blairgowrie and Perth. The home-made bistro-style menu here attracts food-lovers from far and wide, and the cosy wood-panelled dining room - with its tartan carpets and white linens - has become a local institution. All the food here is prepared in-house, from the stock-pots to the puddings, and fresh fish is delivered daily from the boats in Aberdeen, and the wine list is hand-picked. Ideal for romantic meals and celebrations, the Meileour has a feel-good home-away-from-home atmosphere, and star dishes include the beef pie flavoured with the hotels own Perth-brewed Lure of Meikleour ale.
