Pierre gets a lot of comments on being brusque and rude, but we found him quite the opposite during our 3 visits to his place. He is almost a one-man show, doing the greeting, seating, cooking and serving. He comes up with some unique creations and the servings are very plentiful (we usually got 2 meals out of each one).... While some would say Pierre is gruff and maybe even harsh, it is all bluster with only kindness and caring at its heart. He gives his every effort to make your experience a wonderful one.

Superb food and service. In the middle of the boonies you get civilized cooking and wines. Pierre does it himself. A taste of haute Quebec on Long Island.

We ate at Chef Pierre for lunch and had a Margarita pizza and a Caesar salad for two. Chef Pierre was a little gruff with us since we had not made a reservation, but he served us and the food was amazing! It says on his website that reservations are not necessary, but I'd highly recommend them if you want... More

A wonderful menu that is different than any other on the island. Be sure to call for reservations and try to get there in time to watch the spectacular sunsets. Great fish, pasta dishes and super fresh tasty salads!

Food is by far the BEST on the island! Make reservations and be on time! Pierre has a different sense of humor and makes the experience fun, just be prepared for that! Don't ask for substitutions or condiments! You won't want them anyway as everything he cooks is perfect. The pasta dishes and pizza were amazing!

Such a spectacular setting on Long Island. Pierre was a most gracious host, and we enjoyed very much the Gorgonzola salad, Grouper special and Tiramisu. We will be back!

We enjoyed our meal so much that we went twice in one week. We were told it was the off season (first week in February 2016) so there was one other group and our group in the whole restaurant. We were waited on by the chef who guided us in our food choices. It was very casual with getting our... More

Our family has dined at Chez Pierre several times over our many visits to Long Island. I'll keep the review simple ... the food is fresh, skillfully prepared and delicious. The setting is casual elegance in a remotely tropical setting. The pizzas, Caesar salad and seafood are particularly note-worthy. Kudos to Pierre!

The food at this place is to die for. While it's not authentic Caribbean, it's a romantic night out you'll look forward to. The chef, Pierre, does it all himself--cooks, serves, seats, makes reservations--so be sure to call ahead so he's ready for you. It's a lot for one person to handle, but you won't find yourself waiting long. You... More
