Delicious meal. Highlights were the stone crab appetizer, grilled lobster and roasted chicken. Our server, Sapphire, went above and beyond. Three couples dining here and celebrating a milestone birthday and they did an amazing job of making it a fun and special celebration in the most beautiful setting overlooking their lovely pool.

Staying at rock house and had our first meal of the island here. It set expectations for the rest of our stay. Service was the best on the island so far - attentive and detail oriented. The food was phenomenal - the mixed salad was far from boring, the pork chop had a great twist on it, and the grouper with risotto was SO good. Henry, the owner, came to welcome us to the hotel during dinner which was a lovely gesture, as well. We all would highly recommend.

Great meal included the grouper and pork chop (glazed and huge). We were a party of 5 seated outdoors by the pool area. The atmosphere was calm and the service and waiter very nice. We would highly recommend for a special outing.

If you follow me you can see I have stayed at places all over the world. When I go to a Nice recommended restaurant I expect it to be nice. This place failed everywhere except for the table people. We started off being shown to the pool side table versus the view tables "which people reserve 4 months in advance. We ate from 6-7.30. When I left not a single other person was there so much for the good tables. Next we were shown to the table by a delightful person followed by another bread fun person. Then the Flys came and out came these industrial sterno cans burning on the table without any covers. The appetizers were mixed my crab cake was good my other one dry. The squash soup came with a large black hair in it which was discovered after eating half. The waiters comment upon being notified was.. You are right I see it. The Thai shrimp and rice was a large plate of rice with small shrimp and some sauce. My grouper and risotto was astonishingly over salted on the crusty grouper and through out the risotto. The bill came with the $20 soup still on which had to be pointed out. The mandatory 15% gratuity was already there but the waitress who didn't say anything to us all night felt the need to push the machine back and ask if I wanted to leave more. We are all world travelers. We all are understanding but none of us could come up with another experience that cost $350 and was just so poorly done in every level.

There's nothing I can say to make up for your experience, but I do hope you will allow us to properly serve you in the future. Your reputation for reviews is legendary!

We went to the restaurant looking at the reviews and photos.
There is no view of the sea like in the photos. Ambience is good but the food is not only over priced but the quality is poor. No vegetarian options except some pasta and chick pea dish which was stale and had to return it. Surprisingly the waiters were not wearing any masks unlike the other restaurants which I found very annoying.
Overall very expensive restaurant with no views and very average quality food.
On the positive side the waiters were very polite and took the dishes away without any argument when pointed that the food tasted stale.

My apologies, but I'm at a loss as to how to respond to this. Mainly because we offer and promote a Bayview, not Oceanview, and we do not offer a pasta and chickpea dish. Also, our servers are required by law to wear masks. That being said, I will gladly take responsibility if this is indeed a review of our restaurant.

Mediocre, overpriced food. Appetizers (beet salad and conch cakes) were not bad but the entrees were almost inedible. The lobster and corn anglotti was swimming in some sort of sauce that tasted like cream of cheddar soup. Vegetarian pasta was full of uncooked vegetables you would never put in pasta, with absolutely no sauce. Everything was under seasoned. The only positives were that the cocktails are great and our server was very nice. Go here for a drink, avoid the food.

We haven’t been to this well-revised restaurant on the island for years but went this week and were sadly disappointed in the horrible service. The food was excellent as expected but the wait service only came to our table once to ask if we need anything. They comped our desserts and wine to make up for the poor service but I doubt that I will go to this restaurant again since there are so many other excellent options for good food. A real waste of a good restaurant. Management needs to make some major changes.

I’ve been to rock house before and really loved it many years ago but this experience was different. All the dishes were pretty good except the Caprese salad which was absolutely absurdly priced. Two cherry tomatoes and two pieces of store bought mozzarella about the size of a Reese‘s peanut butter cup. $26 +12% VAT and 15% gratuity. I literally could’ve ate the whole salad with one big bite. Lol lol. I do love the atmosphere there but come on do people right on the food!! Please. A lot of better options on the island.

During our February stay at the Coral Sands Hotel, we ate dinner at a different restaurant every evening at the top rated restaurants by TA. Head and shoulders above all was the Rock House Hotel restaurant. Simply an amazing dining experience--great service, beautiful setting and atmosphere, and great food. We had the grilled lobster and seafood cakes. Food was simply amazing! We sat on the porch area and was very pleased by the vibe and the view. Priced the same as other top end restaurants, but this is the best of the best. Highly recommended.

We had dinner at Rock House. We experienced a fully booked restaurant during a rainy evening. Service was extremely slow and somehow overwhelmed by the amount of people. Later we learned that due to weather conditions some staff couldn’t arrive for work - instead of no communication at all to customers some would have helped. Anyway, the food was super slow. We had to wait for almost an hour! before being served. One of the dishes was totally tasteless - salt, herbes, nothing. The other dish was ok-ish. Pricing stiff but that is island standard. Given the hype on this restaurant we felt this being overrated.

Appetizers (such as Grilled octopus, Duo beet salad) and Mains (Thai coconut curry shrimp, Balsamic glazed snapper) were all
well presented and tasteful.
The staff are knowledgeable and efficient.
The music has thankfully changed tempo - and now allows for more conducive dining. (Yay!)
Topping it all off in the dessert selection was the sublime Key Lime Pie and the infamous Torte.
Big congratulations to the new Rock House team!

Thank you very much for your review. It's always difficult when changing anything that has such a strong legacy as The Rock House. It makes me happy to see that the hard work my team put into building onto that legacy is being well received. And FYI, the Octopus and Snapper are my favorites, but you really should try the Lobster Bisque next time. It's life-changing!

Our family of 5 ate there last night (3 kids 14 and under). We should have made a reservation sooner, but we walked in during the day to ask and they had room to seat us for later that night. We sat in the cute back bar and pool area. It’s nicely decorated so it didn’t matter we weren’t overlooking the water. The restaurant has a few seating and waiting areas, inside and out. Great views and nice decor throughout. The service was great. The staff are very nice and they are very prompt, which you don’t always get on island time. The food was delicious. 2 of us had the grouper/risotto and it was the best thing I’ve eaten all week, and the food has been great overall… to give you an idea. People dress nice here. Upscale coastal clothing. Highly recommend.
I will be dreaming of the grouper until my next visit.

Best dinner on Harbour Island!!
We were lucky enough to squeeze in for a dinner at the Rock House! They were consistently booked but the amazing bartender appealed to the manager for us and we could not have had a better evening and meal. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were all so friendly and accommodating. The view over the water is breathtaking!!! We celebrated our son’s birthday and they sang a spirited island Happy Birthday to him. The grouper was out of this world and the filet mignon was prepared perfectly! The almost boneless chicken was also done just right. All were very tasty and beautifully served. We had all but one of their desserts and enjoyed them very much. Highly recommend for a special dinner!!
