We dropped by for an evening meal expecting pub food. Instead it was a master chef food experience - amazing. Best food we have had in a long time. We had rhubarb and gin infused salmon as a starter followed by the fillet of beef...More

We arrived a little late after the sat-nav took us down some very narrow country roads, there is a big car park at the back so this wasn't a problem. The pub garden is right outside the front of the pub, you can eat there...More

The Butchers has always been a favourite of ours. However, it seems to have been closed for a while (which it snowed last we called, but the line was dead). When we went a couple of weeks ago there was no sign of life.

We wanted something local for a mid week supper with friends so we chose the Butchers Arms as we hadn't eaten there for a while. The welcome was cheerful and the fires lit making a warm and cosy atmosphere. It's a typical English pub in...More

As locals we went here to enjoy a quiet drink/bottle of wine but half way through our bottle of wine we were told we had to vacate our (previously unreserved) table "soon" as someone had specifically requested it for their meal!! We objected as there...More

Visited the pub as part of an “rrgordon” walk in the Oakridge Lynch area. The pub had a warm fire burning and the staff were nice. There was a good selection of traditional beers on offer. Most notable though was the chicken and bacon club...More
