Four of us booked 5.15 slot for a family meal, our son and fiancée had never been to Moruzzis before, they live in Cardiff and loved your restaurant, the service ,atmosphere and staff as normal were friendly polite and efficient. The food was perfect, we had such a...lovely evening with you..Ohr daughter in laws steak was cooked to perfection, pizzas were huge and no problem when I asked could I take what I couldn't eat home. My husband had steak and ale pie it looked lovely and nicely presented, though he didn't ask for a plate jus because the pastry lid was crumbly . We had the corner table whic proved to be perfect for me personally too...I am profoundly deaf and find most restaurants impossible to have a cnverstion in,but tucked away in the corner suited me perfectly...must book this table next time we visit.More

I’ve been here on a couple of occasions the past month. One for a breakfast with the lads and the food was great, and nice coffee too Second visit was to pick up pizzas for the family. Pizzas were the bomb, calzone was done properly...and I loved every mouthful. Same goes for the rest of the family. Great to see local businesses delivering great foodMore

We have been here several times and unfortunately the service has never been good. Staff do not seem interested or attentive which is a shame given how nice the venue and food actually is. We were left without any staff interaction for about 20 minutes...while we waited to order breakfast and drinks, and even then we had to ask someone if we could order as we had seemingly been forgotten about. Other people arriving after us had ordered and eaten before we had even been asked to order. Didn't get any drinks until our food arrived which was not ideal. In the past I have had staff take my wine glass, which wasn't even empty, without asking - when you pay almost £8 per glass you should be asked if you're finished before the glass is taken! Service is usually lacklustre and slow in our experience. Willing to let things slide once or even twice but we won't be returning after bad service for the 5th time.More

Food and service was fab, but I asked for the bill which came ok I then paid the bill with cash, we waited no return of my change, its my choice wether to pay a tip or not no change offered so no tip left...poor customer service as my tip would of been £8 as 10% of bill Your staff lost out in regards to poor staff customer serviceMore

Hello Lorne, I'm very sorry about this which was obviously a simple misunderstanding. Thank you

Booked an early evening anniversary meal for myself, hubby & son. Felt very safe with tables set up with safe distancing rules adhered to. Great menu with specials. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble, will definitely visit again.

We booked a table for two on a Saturday evening. Social distancing was very good, masks were being *properly* worn by the in-house team (unlike some places were they are hung below the nose etc). We had a window table and the nearest guests were...five metres away so we were more than comfortable. There were naturally less diners present due to the restrictions but the ambience was lovely. The menu is good (we had olives as an appetizer) but - as I have a gluten intolerance - none of the starters suited me. We asked the owner if something could be "rustled up" and received excellent servings of wild mushrooms with garlic etc. Obviously, it depends on what the chef has to hand and just how busy the kitchen is, but we were well pleased and grateful for the effort made. We both had steak which was very tasty and was cooked as requested. The rustic chips were delicious. For dessert, I had the gluten free profiteroles with chocolate sauce and my wife had a honeycomb based dish which she loved. All in all, a very enjoyable evening and a nice change from our lockdown habit of sitting in and watching the telly! Recommended.More

Needed a quick coffee & water after the trek to the waterfalls - great service & delicious coffees. Food looked lovely too.

Have to leave a review having left a negative one previously. The Flat white I posted as poor previously is vastly improved. The breakfast was also excellent. Sausages are really tasty and good portion of mushrooms which is always good.

The food was fantastic but unfortunately the service let down the evening. We waited a long time for our order to be taken and for our drinks order to arrive (we had to chase our drinks order after 2 drinks arrived and 20 minutes later...we were still waiting for the other 2 which we had ordered at the same time). We asked for a dessert menu which we were given after another lengthy wait, after around 45 minutes a waitress came not to take our dessert order but to tell us that we needed to leave as they needed our table so we were not able to have dessert (even though we could have ordered and eaten it well within the this time that we waited for somebody to take our order). Again, the food that we did receive was fantastic and we could not fault it at all, but the service was very poor and for that reason we will not be returning.More

Haven't been here for a while so we decided to have breakfast. I had coffee and it was excellent, my husband had tea and it wasn't the best, although it was hot it was very weak... My husband had the trad breakfast and it was...very good (lovely sausages), I had the poached eggs on toast and whilst it was nice it would have been better if the bread was sourdough instead of ordinary bloomer...we will go there again as overall it was nice.More

They have outside seating, I can't see any problem there. However it is a restaurant and you don't see dogs in restaurants these days, pubs are different.

There are usually two sides to one story and I am glad the owners are able to respond. People can make or break a business and they have a moral duty to report the facts accurately and not maliciously. I love Moruzzis and... More
