We popped in for lunch early last week and had delicious homemade soup and chunky sandwiches....The pub is decorated so beautifully for Christmas and sat by the fire it was a brilliant place to pause between Christmas shopping....Have now booked a lunch in a couple of weeks....the Festive menu looks delicious....

The Tredegar Arms looks so attractive, particularly as its in a lovely village setting and is now decorated for Christmas and we were really looking forward to eating there. My husband had the ale pie and he said it wasn't very nice, the crust was dark brown and hard with not much beef inside, plus it wasn't very warm. I... More

This is a nice tidy village pub with an emphasis on food. Everything gives the impression of being well looked after - nice solid furniture and everything clean and fresh. It's an old building with a bit of character. Small choice of draft beers, including Timothy Taylor's Landlord which alone is worth a diversion (it's Britain's best beer!). Food with... More

Just left The Tredegar Arms and I'm stuffed! The food was absolutely amazing, I had Sunday lunch with pork and I can't stop thinking about how nice the food was. For pudding I then had the eaton mess, it was first ever time trying this pudding and it was stunning!! I cannot wait to return! Also excited for the Christmas... More

My husband and I visited here meeting up with our two friends whilst we were on holiday. Varied menu, all sounded lovely, made choosing rather hard! My friend and I chose the pork tenderloin, cooked beautifully and presented well. Our only slight disappointment was portion size, but then this appears to be restaurant portion rather than pub size. My husband... More

Looked like a lovely country pub and decor was good. Food was very dissapointing. We had Sunday lunch and paid extra for lamb. The lamb was the cooked slices that you can buy in a packet in gravy and microwave and was very fatty, so not impressed. The veg for 2 people was a tiny plate with a few frozen... More

Called in for late lunch. We both had roast beef, absolutely delicious and generous portions. Excellent deserts too all washed down with a good real ale... Very good indeed and reasonably priced with friendly service

We went to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary with our family. There were twenty of us. First class service. Everybody were happy with their choices. The food was hot and delicious. A good selection of vegetables with the meals. We will definitely eat here again when we're in the area.
