While the service we received from our main server was a bit uncomfortable (read: cordial but cold, perhaps due to the way we were dressed as we had hiked to the pub), we had absolutely wonderful mains. I cannot gush enough about how fantastic the...More

Stopped for a meal but had to wait over an hour for it to be served. The waiter went to check in the kitchen then served two other couples who had ordered after us. No offer of a free drink or dessert, shame as we...More

Thank you for your review but on checking our systems no-one waited an hour for food. Over the glorious Bank Holiday weekend we were incredibly busy and served over three hundred and fifty people with all food freshly cooked to order. We fitted you in...More

A beautiful place in a lovely setting beside the river on a country road. Food fantastic and freshly prepared and cooked. Great menu and the steak was delicious! Sells local craft beers with a good selection of wines and lagers as well.

An ideal place to spend time drinking cool locally sourced drinks on a hot summers day, or any dry day, sat on the river bank. In close proximity to the castle ruins. Also has a large garden and caters for events and receptions.

There were four of us this time one with a bad back, cushion was there as he sat down. Lovely staff who had already done Bank Holiday lunches, with not long to wait for the first dish, wine there on time. I like the tables...More
