Great ambience in the outside area. The food was fabulous and we ordered a number of small plates not sure how “small” they were going to be. Immediately on arrival we just asked for water and then we both ordered a glass of wine. A small bottle of Fiji water was brought. Later I asked for a glass of water and was told they didn’t have water - only ice. When the bill arrived the charge for the small bottle of water was $12 - is it really necessary for an otherwise excellent restaurant to leave you with a sour taste for being ripped off for water?

We travel to the Bahamas almost every year and Social House is always on our list of places to dine. This year, Mackley was our server. He was very attentive and friendly and took great care of us! The food here is always top notch! For appetizers we had Spicy Crispy Tuna and Spicy Rock Shrimp, both were delicious! Our maki selections were the Pacific, Volcano, Crunchy Crunch and SoHo Special. All were exceptional! We are already looking forward to next year when we come back!

This was the first restaurant we dined at during our vacation and I can tell you that the food was delicious! After spending 10 days on the island I can also tell you that this is up there as one of my favourite restaurants, not just for the quality of the food but also the value for money. In comparison to other restaurants that we dined at during our stay here this was the best value for money. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Cucumber sunomono, grilled octopus, hamachi Serrano, salmon avocado maki, plantain maki, volcano maki and tostada tuna. Everything was excellent. Not cheap, however. With a bottle of Pontfract rose ($48) and a bottle of water ($8), the total was $224 for three people. That’s about £65 Sterling a head! But it’s the Bahamas after all. It’s never been cheap.

My friends and I came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The ambiance inside is really pleasant, on the slightly more quiet side. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees to share. We were surprised at how large the portions were. A lot of sushi restaurants in the US tend to have smaller portions but these portions were pretty big, and we agreed it was worth the prices.
We got the scallop tempura, yellow tail ceviche, shisito peppers, brussel sprouts, sashimi combo set, miso egg plant, and 3 sushi rolls. This was plenty of food for 5 people and we probably could've ordered a little less since we had leftovers. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd recommend if you wanted to eat other cuisine on the island!

We came for a business meeting and besides having a very interesting an unique offering of sushi, including lobster and plantain rolls, they had a very nice offering of vegetarian options that were really sophisticated snd well done. Great ambience, we could have good conversations and very nice decorations. We sat outside and it was sunny and breezy

A lovely ambience framed by bamboo looking plants. Like so many restaurants nowadays the room has hard surfaces which reflect noise and make quiet conversation impossible when the restaurant is busy. The serving staff are competent and friendly. Parking is a little limited for those diners arriving in a private vehicle. There was no long wait between ordering and the dishes arriving at the table. The sushi was good however the oil used to deep fry the tempura while adequate was a little too bland, maybe a cheaper soy rather than the richer sesame.

Service was great.
The restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday lunch which was nice to see.
The price of the food is expensive, however, depending on your appetite you could just order a few appetizers and rolls and just share everything which is what we did.

Me and my family go to Nassau every year and stay in the Atlantis Marina. This restaurant is a must go in every trip. The food is the best you can find in Nassau, way better than the “Celebrity Chef restaurants” and at a very reasonable price. From sharing plates to specialty maki, sushi, baos and skewers, even the grilled meat is excellent. A1 food, very fresh and amazing recipes. Very good bar, excellent service and an outstanding Manager. We live in Miami andSocial House would be within the 5 best sushi-grill restaurants here. A real gem in an Island known for very expensive and low quality restaurants.

I had dinner with two friends at Social House last week. The varieties of sushi and sashimi we ordered were all incredibly fresh and very tasty. The conch stew was just spicy enough without the heat overpowering the flavor of the soup. We also had the brussels sprouts appetizer, which unfortunately, did not indicate that it is a battered dish (which was a problem for a gluten free member of our party). But everything we ate was delicious. The plantain sushi was a special treat.

Social house is that getaway that you need where you can enjoy great Japanese food, great drinks and awesome service. Shout outs goes to the hostess with the blond hair who accommodated us with indoor seating when I missed my reservation time, Keith our waiter which give us quality top notch service and the valet parking guy who was so patient and kind. Let's talk about Keith! Keith is very knowledgeable, skilled and he goes above and beyond to ensure that your experience is worth while, he was so great with my niece and step- daughter. He has passion and a master at his craft who's timing and recommendations were perfect. He will go very far in his career. Also, I've noticed other team members coming over bussing our tables and asking if all was well. Social house maybe small in size but the experience leaves you feeling larger than life. I highly recommend the restaurant especially if you're looking for a taste of Japan in the Bahamas. Owners- please continue to take gooood care of your staff because you don't want to lose them. Anyone can work a position but you're not always going to find the right people. Thank you all for a memorable night!

Went with my daughter for lunch. Incorrectly delivered me meat rather than ordered chicken. My daughter had completely finished eating by the time my food arrived. I received an apology. No offer of a complimentary drink, or any form of compensation. Even though we were happy to order drinks which we did, as a curtesy offer guests filtered water. Not an option. They try to upsell bottled water. I was charged 15% service fee which I disputed. As I explained you go to a restaurant for a dining experience. If the restaurant fails to ensure you have the dining experience recognize that don’t just say “sorry” and “have a great day - come again”

This was my first time eating Japanese fusion cuisine. The ambience was great and our waiter Davardo was the best. We asked for recommendations and his suggestions were awesome. We had the Spicy Tuna Crunch, Lobster Truffle, Bento Box grilled skewers, and the chicken and shrimp fried rice with the ginger lemonade. The food came out very quickly and was great. I will definitely be back and will be requesting Davardo as my waiter.

We drove 30 minutes to social house for a family night out. My son was just from school, so he was very hungry and the 1st restaurant we stopped at menu had drastically changed, So we took the drive to Social house based on their 4 star reviews. We arrived 5:30pm and was told they opened at 6pm and to take our son to the bar across the street inth meantime. We opted and went to Starbucks. My son was nagging so we arrived back at 6:05pm where the hostess Felicia stood and never acknowledged us. We had only saw her 1/2 hr earlier. About 6:07pm , I then knocked and said what time do you open? She hesitated before even opening the door and said, were running late so we're not opened yet! It was very chilly outside and my son was very nagging at this point so I asked if we could sit at a table until they were ready and she said no. I said I want to speak to manager. By this time, about 4 other customers were also waiting including 3 tourist who were complainimg. She then turned the sign to open without even telling us and acknowledged the tourist with the baby that were after us, then turned to my husband and said, do u have a reservation. We were so turned off we almost drove back home. But sat down anyway. They waiter understood our frustration very quickly and took good care of us. We call for the manager at the end of the meal and instead of listen to the customer spending $200, he defended the great Felicia!!! Very sad, won't be going back there... Customers have a choice where they spend their money!!!

Lovely dinner at Social House. Was recommended by our concierge at Sandyport Resort. Chris was our server and great. My partner is a tough critic and she enjoyed the sushi and I lovely the shrimp tempura and the brownie ice cream dessert. We will return when we return to the island
