Excellent Bahamian food & drink!! Don’t come in a rush, all food is made fresh to order, grab a drink and a second then enjoy a delicious plate of sautéed shrimp or conch as you look out onto the water...paradise! Goldie is awesome, if you...can have a shot or two with him he’s worked hard to keep the place open all these years.More

There are many eateries in the Fish Fry area at the Arawak Cay. Upon recommendation by our cab driver, we decided to give Goldie a try. Its conch fritters served with peas and rice were crisply yummy. The service was great and staff were friendly....I would recommend a table booking because of the influx of travellers from cruise liners berthing some minutes walk away at Prince George Wharf in downtown Nassau.I will eat here again but as there are many other eateries which have received good reviews, I may be persuaded to check out others. Anyway, Arawak Cay is certainly the honey pot for seafoods lovers!More

Thankfully, Goldie’s was the first place we stopped in to sample conch, the Bahamas’ most famous food (I think). A lot of places tend to gouge tourists, so to find one reasonably priced was pure luck. What is there to say? Great seafood, lots of...conch options, and decent priced alcohol. Goldie’s goes the extra mile to have stuff on the wall educating us on famous Bahamian personalities. Nassau has a rich but unknown history, is what I gathered. Locals and tourists appeared to form the client base. Go further into Nassau, particularly downtown, the ratio will change drastically. I have spoken.More

Goldie’s is located at the famous Fish Fry area in Arawak Cay. Yes there are lots of restaurants wanting you to eat at their place but keep walking just alittle further and at the end and you will see Goldie’s located right on the water....They will take excellent care of you. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the view of the water. Plus it was fun to watch the guy shuck the conch’s. We were only there for a snack and of course Rum Punch and beer. The conch salad was amazing, delicious and so fresh. Wish we had time to eat more as I’m sure it would have been delicious. I definitely recommend Goldie’s and will be back next time I am in Nassau.More

Our Group came here at the recommendation of a local tour operator. Enjoyed every entree we tried and the fried lobster was very good. Conch dishes were varied and plentiful. The Conch demonstration was very entertaining.

Conch salad was amazing, a must try in the Bahamas! Everyone was so nice and accommodating, they know how to do things right here!

SO...I usually use this site to call out a personal foul or two. The usual inattentive server, semi-cooked entree, or overall flub on delivering the goods as ordered. BUT TONIGHT, I come with praise. We landed on fish fry and walked UP and DOWN carefully...observing each location—the crowd, the ambience, the TripAdvisor review. I WOULD HAVE NOT STOPPED but the family insisted we take a closer look at the highest rated place in Fish Fry (Goldie’s). We talked with a family sitting up front and we were on the fence and THEN the server asked if we wanted to check out the back WATERFRONT deck...HECK YA!! And we were impressed and stayed. And THEN the food. The FOOD was amazing. Drinks too. Don’t overlook this place. The beauty is in the back. And what a meal....More

Good meal overall but service was slow and inattentive, especially when it was time to pay and leave. The cracked (fried) conch and grilled snapper were excellent, as was the hamburger according to our 10 year old. The sides were good but not great. The...best part of Goldies is the pile of conch shells out back. So stop by for a visit and snack. Then check out the other restaurants at the Fish Fry.More

Off a cruise we walked to Junkanoo beach, then to Arawak Cay (AKA The Fish Fry). Several shills approached us, but we were headed for Goldies based off advice we had received from other travelers. We DID run into a shill for this place ("YabbaDabbaDO),...who escorted us there for his commission. We had a group of 6, sitting on the deck, and we had 2 appetizers of Conch Fritters... Delicious... But filling. We were almost full and our main course hadn't arrived. My choice was cracked conch, delicious. I couldn't finish it all, which sucks on a cruise, as you have no where to put leftovers. Conch fritters were $8 or $9, the cracked conch main course was $16, local Kalik beer was $3. Will be back in early June.More

Stumbled across this gem of a place and so pleased we did, coming from London it’s usually a bit hit and miss but not here the most amazingly fresh fish and cracked conch with the warmest of welcomes will be one of my favourite memories...of the Bahamas should be top 10 of places to eat and to top it off we were even invited to sit with Goldie himself and enjoy a chat and a beer. If good no frills dining is what you enjoy and fantastic value for money pop in and say hi you’ll be delighted that you did 👍More

We paid $15 to go to The RIU Palace...we negotiated all of our cab fares down and tipped well.

Definitely a taxi. Taxis aren’t so great in Nassau but it’s not a great walk
