The only reason to go here is to spot the turtles from the patio. You'll have plenty of time as the service is super slow but you'll pay for it. This is not a vegetarian friendly restaurant.

As their sign in the back says, this restaurant is not fast food. It is a great place to relax and eat causally while sitting on the dock and watching the world around you. They have plenty of drinks, a decent selection of food, and...friendly (and somewhat slow) service. We ordered an app and and an entrée for lunch and were satisfied from a volume point of view. The fish was fresh and the overall quality hit the mark. When you see your server make sure to order if you'd want a refill less you avoid a significant wait. The same goes for asking for your check. I got the 2nd drink I ordered along with the check even though I asked for them about 20 minutes apart. If the weather is nice, ask to sit out back - very nice views!More

Not only was the fish fingers the best fish fry I’ve ever had, but the bartenders Tiny and Shea gave us the best experience. We got to watch sea turtles feed and purchase fresh Conch shells of our choosing. 10/10 reccomend! Make sure you get...a Holy Water cocktail and the peas and rice!More

This place is the best! Visited here whilst on the island for 10 days on recommendation of a tour operator. Had the best fish fillet I’ve ever had with tastes to melt my brain! Sit outside and watch the sea as there were three turtles...feeding (on both our visits) which was nice to watch with a beer. The price is very reasonable and portion sizes generous. The choice of drinks and cocktails are insane. It was so good, we returned on the way home to the airport and had equally good service.More

The food was okay, but after a 3 hour wait it was hardly worth it. My brother didn’t get his dinner until we all had finished eating. I asked the manager if she could perhaps comp our drinks given the long wait and poor service....Her counter offer was that she could take off the automatic 15% gratuity but she remade a point of letting me know that that would only hurt our server, who has no control over the speed of the kitchen. I suggested that if that’s all she could do then maybe the house could cover the servers tip instead of trying to guilt trip myself as the customer or shorting her server. She refused. Long story short, Arawak Cay has way better, faster, and friendlier options than Goldie’s. Don’t waste your vacation time here.More

We experienced extremely slow service, despite being nearly empty with staff standing around everywhere. There are all kinds of signs telling you to expect slow service and to expect it “their way” but we just didn’t expect 25+ minutes to get our beverages and well...over and hour to get our food. The food was fresh, and piping hot— but did not come out at the same time. We had one plate that didn’t come out until everyone else was finished. We were on a cruise and just didn’t have hours to dine. We will try somewhere else the next time we port in Nassau.More

We were early on Fish Fry and the restaurants were still closed. Goldie saw us and opened up the restaurant just for us. He explained how he started it all and even brought us down to see how they catch the conch. He showed us...how to open them up and we got to eat it right out of the océan. He then prepared his famous conch salade. Be careful and warn them if you don’t like spicy food because woahhhh that burns!!! Loved the place and food was great!More

This place is great. Friendly service and amazing food. Large portions. Conch salad and fried snapper were excellent. Turtles in the ocean right outside. Highly recommend it! And it was great to get some local cuisine and not resort food.

Fantastic seafood with HUGE portions at a reasonable price. Goldie, the owner, is a real HOOT. He danced with my wife until she threw out her hip. We ate & drank here several times. He had on daughter who fee\ll in love with my wife....I think she was close to leaving for college in the US. She would have graduated a long time ago. We visited in late November,2009. Both Goldie & his daughter will never forget us. I recently tried the restaurant.More

Goldie's has a great food, and the service was awesome. The portion size is more like what we get in the States, so if you're a lite eater you can definitely share a plate.

We visited during a cruise. We were not particularly excited about this port since we had been there so many times. Decided to fish fry for them first time. Our taxi driver recommended Goldies so we went. It was lunch time. The staff was friendly...and welcoming. The food was very good. Cooked to order and very fresh so we did not mind the wait which was about 30 minutes. Lovely waterside restaurant. At the end of our meal, Goldie himself came over to check how our experience was. He stayed and chatted for awhile with us. Very enjoyable visit. It was the highlight of our Nassau port day and will now always be a must for us when we visit Nassau.More
