My husband and I had a great dinner out at Fish Fry's but when we brought our kids the next time we didn't have as great a time. Some of the locals in the area approached us and were quite aggressive and this scared the children.

Very fresh, very tasty and reasonable! Way better than any hotel food! Highly recommended for anyone that wants to try fresh local seafood. The conch fritters are to die for!

A beautiful 1-2 mile walk down the coastline (turn right from the cruise ships) will bring you to this gem. The staff was very attentive and the food was as fresh as you're going to get. This is not really a tourist destination, but more of a local/tourist mix. For those of you who want the Nassau food experience, this... More

My family and I have been going to the Bahamas for about 13 years. We had never eaten at the Fish Fry so we decided to try it. Our taxi took us to the "Anchorage". Our dinners were fine until one of our party noticed an insect in her Shrimp Scampi. That entree was removed from the bill. A couple... More

Fish Fry is the name of this location. There are many small restaurants to choose from. Most have the same foods on their menus. A local recommended Andros and we had the tropical conch salad. The chef makes the salad while you watch. If you don't want all the onions, speak up before he starts chopping because he is very... More

But what can I expect with the name of "Fish Fry"?! Grilled cheese but not be common in the Bahamas either. I got a hamburger bun with one slice of American cheese melted and lettuce and tomato... But the rest of the crew loved it. I have to say the peas and rice and the plantains were outstanding!!

We went to eat at the fish fry on the recommendation of our driver. When we pulled into the fish fry was a bunch of different restaurants and so we were enticed to go to the Anchorage. Well besides the fact that it was against the water and it was kind of a little hole-in-the-wall place but it was really... More
