When we come to St. John we always make sure we have at least one dinner out at La Tapa. This time we decided to make reservations at the bar. It is small inside but very charming. The bartender was friendly and brought out a...More

This entree was literally one of the best dishes I have ever eaten!! So incredibly good! The service was inexplicably slow which was annoying, but the food was absolutely fantastic!

Visited October 12-16 and really looking forward to La Tapa. Unfortunately they were on vacation and not open. Hoping to catch them next time. They have great food and nice wine selection. Love the street side location.

Chef/Owner Alex has repeatedly shown her craft in this wonderful restaurant. She uses locally sourced ingredients, including at times lobsters she has caught herself. Always a nice crowd, especially on nights when live music, yet subtle music is offered. A delightful spot with amazing food.

Located at probably the busiest part of Cruz Bay and a very lively spot at night which makes the ambiance a really great island experience. Coupled with the very good food and friendly excellent service, it is highly recommended.

The food and service is always wonderful. There was a local musician playing and she was great. We had multiple courses each better than the previous.

Ok so my honest review, we had a large party and were seated outside around 545 (no one else inside the restaurant) so we had very little air under the deck. My steak was great, but a little overcooked as was everyone who ordered steak....More

La Tapa is one of St. John's best restaurants, and we've tried pretty much all of them. The food is innovative, exceptionally well-prepared, service is spot-on, and wine prices reasonable. Expensive (figure about $100/person with wine, appetizer, main course, dessert and tip) but worth every...More

Stand by my review 100%. Worst value in St John. No I haven't had too much sun, I went for dinner and was disappointed. If you went and had a different experience that's great.

I'm sure you can find something gluten-free. Most of their seafood small plates would be gluten free. The homemade mozzarella, the salad. Etc. and they are very nice so if you call ahead in sure they can help you.
