La Tapa is a welcoming place in the heart of Cruz Bay. While there are entrees, the majority of people sitting near me were ordering the small plate tapas. There are vegetarian, seafood, and meat offerings, including soup, salad and small main dishes. The chef...More

We had dinner one night on a trip to St. John at La Tapa and it was the best dinner of all which, if you've have visited St. John is saying something. It was also the most expensive at $123.00 but which was definately worth...More

I have always considered this to be one of St. John's best restaurants with creative meals and well priced. Unfortunately my $39 pork chop had little flavor, wasn't brined and sides were boring. It appears that they are attempting to make up for lost revenue...More

This entree was literally one of the best dishes I have ever eaten!! So incredibly good! The service was inexplicably slow which was annoying, but the food was absolutely fantastic!

Visited October 12-16 and really looking forward to La Tapa. Unfortunately they were on vacation and not open. Hoping to catch them next time. They have great food and nice wine selection. Love the street side location.

Chef/Owner Alex has repeatedly shown her craft in this wonderful restaurant. She uses locally sourced ingredients, including at times lobsters she has caught herself. Always a nice crowd, especially on nights when live music, yet subtle music is offered. A delightful spot with amazing food.

Located at probably the busiest part of Cruz Bay and a very lively spot at night which makes the ambiance a really great island experience. Coupled with the very good food and friendly excellent service, it is highly recommended.

The food and service is always wonderful. There was a local musician playing and she was great. We had multiple courses each better than the previous.

Stand by my review 100%. Worst value in St John. No I haven't had too much sun, I went for dinner and was disappointed. If you went and had a different experience that's great.

I'm sure you can find something gluten-free. Most of their seafood small plates would be gluten free. The homemade mozzarella, the salad. Etc. and they are very nice so if you call ahead in sure they can help you.
