This was my 1st or 2nd favorite dinner restaurant (it’s too close to call) during our 5 night stay. We visited the top popular restaurants but decided to try out this “hole in the wall”. No one ever mentioned this place in the Facebook groups,...and didn’t show on my Google searches. The food was amazing, best rib-eye I have ever had - better then other steaks at other popular St John restaurants. Our service was terrific, great drinks. Don’t overlook this place!More

We went on a super busy night - but service and food were phenomenal. They were hustling to handle the volume and did a great job. Cute outdoor space too! Looking forward to going back next time we are in STJ.

I had their steak there with the gorgonzola butter on top and it was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend. Plus their pain killer's and pina colada's were delicious. We had Brian as our server and he was excellent, very friendly and great service/conversation. I will definitely...come back here on my next visit to St. John!More

This is our family favorite restaurant for both lunch and dinner. When we use to live in St.John and would go here for lunch at least twice a week. Service and food are great. Last time we were in the island we visited and was...still amazed with their food nothing had change.More

Restaurants are very busy with decreased seating. Take out is way to go. Was ready in 30 minutes and still hot when we got to our room. Both Entrees were enough to feed two people each, plus we got a BLT salad enough for two!!...Same price as other two restaurants where we ate, only more of the great food!!More

The title says it all. The steak was just ok. Food was edible. The bartender was great. And the service top notch. The food was ordinary, and flavorless. The kitchen seems bored and it reflects on the plate.

We had always heard good thing about the Banana Deck. We found it very casual if not a bit sloppy, the food preparation average (the fish was overdone and dry), the drinks average. The prices are the only element that are high end.

We chose to eat at The Banana Deck because a local recommended it as being the best place to eat in Cruz Bay. Eating area has tables and barebone plastic chairs -- not really conducive to a great eating experience. My wife and I shared...the seafood platter which had mahi, shrimp, and scallops -- very skimpy portions for the price of the dish. Fish was grossly overcooked and almost uneatable. Bar seen with interesting bartender was highlight of the visit.More

Our family was staying in St John for 1 week. We called for a reservation multiple times on a Friday afternoon. The correct phone number went to a disconnected number. We stopped at the restaurant for a table on an admittedly busy Friday. The manager...was hostile and said we should have called for a reservation and there was no room for our family. AVOID. Disorganized and HOSTILE!More
