The Johnny cakes are to die for. We come to the island every year and every year Miss Lucy's is a must. The customer service is great. We have created relationships over the years and it feels like home. Ralph and Conya Barreras-Rosenberg, Texas

Before we planned our trip to St. John, we knew that Thursday night at Miss Lucy's was special with all the great food but having Open Mic night was right up the alley for our daughter. She came with us on her first trip to...St. John and didn't know about Miss Lucy's or about the Open Mic night. You see...her boyfriend back in NC is the lead singer with a popular local band and our daughter does sing with him at some of his gigs. First, we enjoyed some of Miss Lucy's fried coconut shrimp, fries and salad + refreshing Painkillers. When the band started playing "Sitting On The Dock of The Bay" and asked for anyone who wanted to come up and join in....off she went to join the group!! lol. Several of the small girls sang, and our daughter got back on stage and really "nailed" it with her singing "Dreams" & "Something to Talk About." There was one young guy that sang and played the guitar & dedicated the song to his new bride of one week. The fun for the night was when one local guy sang and danced to his reggae songs. He had the whole place rocking! We were surprised to meet lots of people that night that were from NC and from the area where we lived. What a treat! All in all, what a fun and fabulous night of great food & entertainment! Lots of people asked if we were coming back the next Thursday but sadly I had to tell them that we were headed home that day! We will definitely be back on our next trip to St. John!!More

Such a fun unique little place! Excellent service and wonderful food! Most likely you will see donkeys and goats passing through as you dine.

We really enjoyed eating on the water under the shade with a great view. Drinks were great as well as the food. The staff was very friendly.

Locals go here every Thursday to enjoy drinks and live music. So we followed suit. The painkillers are good and the food selection is decent. I had the burrito (chicken curry). It was excellent.

Went there at 11:45 just before they opened and were able to sit and enjoy the view. The food is great and the view is fantastic. On the improvement side, the cocktails were watered down and the server was very grumpy. Overall still the best...place in the area but it would definitely benefit from better serviceMore

Arrived here for late lunch on a Tuesday initially because another restaurant in the area was very busy! What an excellent decision! Miss Lucy’s is in a beautiful location with lovely sea breezes. The atmosphere is truly Caribbean. All the food is homemade and was...delicious. Service maybe a bit slow but this is Island Time and as the view can’t be beat it’s a good opportunity to sit back, relax with a drink and enjoy the company of the people you are with, watch the donkeys and the waves.More

We’ve been going here for many years. This time the experience was horrendous. We waited over two hours for our food. The waitress kept saying they were working on it. After almost three hours we left in disgust having been served one drink. Will never...go there again. Would give zero stars if I could.More

Come for a delicious grouper reuben and other assorted good eats. Be ready for efficient, but sour, service. No one can steal your joy with the beautiful view, great friends and good food and drink. Worth the trip.

Drove from Cruz Bay for lunch after checking the internet for their hours. To signs out front indicated they should be open but alas they were not. Had a lovely lunch at Skinny Legs instead

The food is great, best island food on the island, perfect lunch spot. However, it's because it is so good, it is popular for lunch. Seems they have 2 waiters and 1 bartender for a pretty big place (there looked to be about 10 tables...out front by the water and maybe 10 tables on the side under cover - all sat ). I looked around and everyone seemed to be kind of like, waiting for something. For us it's like 10 minutes to get a menu. When i. went to the bar to just ask for one i was told to sit down and one will come to us. OK it's 10 wasted minutes of our time. Other reviews say the service is slow, however, it wasn't our server that was slow, he was just bombarded with many people and tables . forget ordering a 2nd beer during lunch, it wasn't happening it takes too long to get your waiters attention again. I could have drank 4 beers at lunch in the 90 minutes we were here but only drank 1 which is my only complaint, I don't mind sitting with those views, but would like to have a drink in my hand. Table next to us was a couple that was visibly impatient waiting to pay . If you are in a hurry for a 45 minute meal, don't go here. If you have 1.5 hrs, go here and when you order your first beer, order 2-3 of them and after your food come just ask for the check and pay cash it will save you some time (if you only have a few hours left in the day on the beach, saving 30 minutes of time is a big deal ).More

We love Miss Lucy's on St. John, and always make a visit there for lunch when we are on island. Everything is delicious and made from scratch, and it can take some time to get your food, so I recommend ordering a cold drink, and...enjoying the unparalleled view. We met some very friendly donkeys along the water, which our kids loved. The Lime in the Coconut is a terrific drink, you should try one.More
