Went with a group on a very quiet evening maybe only 2 other tables there. The drinks and food came out quick and all were really good. The prices were much better than the hotel and the quality of everything was really good. We were...very surprised at how good it was and it was our best meal on the island.More

First, let me say they have the best ribs I have ever eaten. Ever. The rest of the food was excellent as well. Unfortunately, the service was just awful. It wasn't even really the fault of our particular waiter, just poor teamwork on the part...of all the staff. Took forever to place our order. Took ages to get our food. We weren't in a particular hurry and all it would have taken was for the waiter to come by more often for drinks or to update us and I've have been happy, but I think he knew how long it was taking and was avoiding us. Finally went to the bar to get drinks and it was like the bartender was purposely looking anywhere but at me. Gave up and went back to the table because I saw our food was being delivered (finally). Maybe the guy chatting with customers and playing air guitar could step in and help actually wait on people? I've eaten there twice and those ribs are to die for, but I'd have to think long and hard about whether I want to deal with the bad service. At best, I'd bring a water bottle with my own drink and maybe a book.More

When we were first sat at our table, the waiter came 20 minutes later and said that they’re not gonna be serving any food. The kitchen is closed for the next 30 minutes so we waited then they told us we can only order small...plates so we did in the meanwhile, we asked for a cup of water, because after waiting half an hour, we had drank the small cups that have been given to us we ordered appetizers, especially artichoke dip, which was covered in jalapeños and spicy again asked for water, and the waiter said she’s getting it as we watch she walks around the place. Never bringing us the water after 10 minutes again I ask her can we please have some water and she said she’s going to get it, another five minutes walked by and I see she’s just standing behind the counter so I go up to her and ask her. Why are you not bringing us the water? We’ve already asked three times and she said oh no I’m gonna get it needless to say she never brought the water. We ended up leaving she still got her tip. We never could even get a refill on the water and they could really care less because the tips baked into the whole thing.More

Was so looking forward to a great lunch. Sat at the outside bar, got drinks within 2 minutes. Ordered food after about 15 minutes. My wife ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich with au jus, and cheese tots…I went with the two meat platter; brisket and...pulled pork with beans and slaw. After about 30 minutes, the bartender told all the new people at the bar that the kitchen was really backed up, and no food orders would be taken until they got caught up. 15 minutes later we still had no food. After another 10 minutes our food showed up. My wife’s ciabatta roll was burnt black and dry, no au jus at all. Beef was dry. She said the tots were the bests thing on the plate. My brisket was dry/overcooked, same for the pulled pork. Slaw was discolored and the beans were about raw. Meats flavor would have been better if not overcooked. I’m not a food basher, but come on. One bartender and one food runner on port day! They need one person dedicated to the que. probably time for an expediter and floor manager review. We would not go there again.More

Pleasantly surprised that this spot, directly where cruise ship passengers would disembark, would have lousy food because they wouldn't really need to try. Quite a surprise, then, when two dinners here turned out to be fantastic. Solid portions of tasty bbq food. Attentive staff and...bartenders. Excellent dessert.More

Excellent BBQ, clean place and lovely service. We shared a platter for 2 with veggies and macaroni potato salad.. Nice twist..so sorry they were out of Johnny Cakes at 6:00pm..Great brisket pulled chicken and pork sandwiches, only comment was the slaw was as a bit...overdressed(honey mustard) Out of banana pudding. I guess go early on a busy Friday but go.. We didn’t stay for music but wish we could have. Waitress very efficient and kind. She wasn’t working on Island time like other spots..More

I've gone here once or twice a week for years. The last two times i had to send my food back and eat elsewhere. it's sad to see an island "go-to" go downhill so fast.

Food was excellent and the service was very good. Had the smoked brisket and turkey. Brisket had a nice smoke ring and was very juicy and tender. Mac-n-cheese was outstanding.

Very good barbecue and a cool atmosphere outside. Convenient location right beside the cruise ports with friendly staff. However, the soda cups were super small with no free refills.

Went for lunch today. Great brisket and ribs. Sides were good too. My wife has Celiac’s disease and has to eat Gluten Free. No problem. All the meats are GF. Beans and slaw GF. Service was decent. Music sucked. Bad selection and too loud to...talk.More

Heard about a special through Facebook the night before. Walked in and asked for it. One guy was serving and said he doesn't know anything about that special another guy setting up said "yes there is" so my server got pissed saying he didn't know...anything about it and went back to the kitchen staff yelling that he should have been informed. He seemed simply annoyed by my existence in the restaurant so I took my food to go and left. Opened it and the onion rings were burned to a crisp. A dog wouldn't eat it. Not cool. Just overall unpleasant experience.More

The night before we cruised out captain arranged that we eat at the Smoking Rooster. This was a fun experience, plenty of TVs and seating outside. The food was very good for a restaurant on a wharf.

Good Morning. If the cruise ships are in port at the Havensight Dock, it's right there amongst that "mall area". If the cruise ship is docked at Crown Bay, you'll need a Taxi to Havensight Mall. It's not far...

I do not think so. very casual. Just walk in. Only time you may have a problem is if 3-4 cruise ships are in.
