Part of the excitement of traveling is finding local gems like Side Street Pub. Kim and Chuck make you feel like you are part of their family. All of their employees are welcoming (shout out to Michael) and you have that sense that they all are happy to be there. Fish tacos are a "go to" for me especially when I'm near the ocean. Their fish tacos are the best I have ever had. EVER!!!! The fish was fresh and the sauce was a combination of sweet and salty that was amazing. Everyone at our table (six of us) raved about our overall experience and we had to go back a few times. Thank you Chuck and Kim!! My husband Doug is liking his hat.

We sat outside and joined another friendly American couple also on our ship we had never met since tables were full . Cocktails strong and good esp Painkillers ! The chips & salsa very good even as a Texan used to Tex Mex. the fish tacos , & burger excellent. They serve chips or beans no French fries or deep fried items .

We happened upon the Side Street Pub when the store next door was closing early (due to Covid). Side Street welcomed us in and let us sit down for some drinks when they were closing up. They have a very small crew, and they were all so welcoming. The owners were the best! They even treated us to some shots after finding out it was our honeymoon. We got to know several of the people who work there a bit better, and they allowed us to bring our luggage back on the last day of our trip to hold in their closet until we had to go to the airport at 3pm (we had nowhere else to keep it). We had lunch there on that last day and some more delicious drinks (everything was spectacular!) and they wished us well as we left for the airport. The restaurant is in an alley, so you won't see it driving down the main road unless you are looking for it, but I would highly suggest anyone who is visiting the Charlotte Amalie area stop in and say hi- and of couse get some drinks and snacks!

Clean, friendly and a lot of good drinking options, if you're drinking.
They were open for breakfast around 9am on a Thursday, friendly staff, clean tables, nice alley.
If you want great service and alcohol, YES! Come here.
I had the fish tacos and my cousin had the breakfast sandwich and coffee. The coffee came with a stroop waffle, which was nice.
But the fish wasn't locally caught, the coffee was $4 a cup (2 cups == $8), and the breakfast sandwich was below average. The tacos were good.
I might go back to drink, but I don't think the food is its strongest suit, and none of the food looked local or even locally inspired. Go here if you want American food.

On a cruise and went looking for somewhere to have a drink after looking in the shops, and found this pub down a lane. The service was excellent and made you feel welcomed, and the music being played was good. The waitress recommended 2 local beers so we ordered a bucket of 6 bottles which was reasonably priced and tasted nice.

We went for breakfast and it was amazing. The breakfast burrito with beans was insane. I may have to fly back just to have another. Kids gave high marks to the homemade French toast sticks. It is family run by a family who clearly take pride in what they are doing. Great spot. Don’t miss it!!

We had such a fun time with Kim and Chuck at Side Street Pub. We spent one morning/afternoon down in Charlotte Amalie and stopped in to grab some food and a drink (or two). We were immediately greeted by Kim and Chuck and they were so welcoming to us and were wonder hosts. My boyfriend and I shared an order of the shrimp tacos and they were so delicious! (We actually tried to replicate them last night, the chili sauce is genius!) . We ended up staying and chatting with them for 1.5-2 hrs and had an absolute blast. I asked Kim for some shopping recommendation in the area and she was able to send us to some shops that supported local owners, which was important to us. After we went shopping we found ourselves back at the pub to grab another drink with them. We ended up stopping by a few days later to hangout and get more shrimp tacos!
Long story short, you must stop by this wonderful place!

Favorite casual dining in Charlotte Amalie! Pub food is totally fresh and delicious not to be outdone by the amazingly friendly owner operated customer service. Delic Nachos w pulled pork. Burgers. Bushwackers. We called from The airport and said we’d pick up since our flight was late. They graciously accommodated us by staying late So we could relax on site w our meal. The are fantastic and hard workers. Service with a smile.

We had a group of 6 people and the waiter and owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Food was good as well but I would say the owners really cared about each customer that enters. Highly recommend side street pub!

Visited the Side Street Pub 3 times this week, once mid afternoon, twice for breakfast, during 2 of our 3 visits Lindsay took care of us, food and drinks were good, Lindsay was very friendly and helpful the very moment we set down. We would definitely recommend this pleasant stop in the alley just off the bay, excellent place to relax during your mid-day refreshment break

Best ever! Elsie was the most sociable person working in a restaurant/bar that we met. The location is famous for when the Mamas And Papas lived and performed in Creque Alley and the song they wrote about it.
Great drinks and awesome service. Elsie, we thank you for making our visit to St. Thomas even more fun!

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. It is tucktaway in one of the small alleys in the center of Charlotte Amalie. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the service is quick. We sat outside in one of their tables ordered a couple of beers and the tuna tacos. There were three tacos to the order all of which were filled with tuna that was perfectly seared and raw in the center, just as they should be. They had a little sweetness to them due to a little chutney mango that was added which made the tacos very unique. Reasonably priced for downtown. Overall great experience and great tacos.

Came upon this place while walking the passages in btwn the shops and we were so glad that we did! Had such a nice experience there that we ended up taking a cab to eat there at least one meal a day for the remainder of our trip. We tried something new off the menu each time and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was equally as enjoyable, Chuck and Kim (the owners) were just fabulous. Such good hosts, genuine, and just lovely people. On our last day on the way to the airport I ordered French fries for my son with his burger, (unknown to me at the time, they didn't have FF at the restaurant) instead of just saying they didn't have them, Kim went to a neighboring restaurant and got FF for him. The service was above and beyond. If we ever make it back to St. Thomas this will definitely be our first stop.

Had lunch today great positive friendly prompt service. Food was very tasty drinks were exceptional. The menu offered a good variety. I have been coming to the US Virgin Islands for many years and highly recommend this restaurant

My wife and I come every time we take the barge over from St John. The breakfast burrito is amazing, but I always want to try other things because the kitchen smells so good. Kim goes above and beyond for us. She went so far as to run to the store to buy a red bull so she could make us our favorite shots. Whether you're on a cruise ship, on vacation, or a local Side Street is the spot.
