This was a great restaurant, and the staff here clearly care about customers. My waitress was great, and I could see everybody here working hard and taking care of other customers. Service rating 10 out of 10. The food here was excellent! I got beef pastelitos (aka empanadas) and roasted chicken (pollo al horno) both were great, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! This is really a great restaurant and I wish I lived in st. Thomas year round so I could always come here. I saw some other reviews mention high prices, but I also went to other restaurants in the Havenssight area and found this restaurant to be priced the same, if not cheaper. If you’re reading this review give this restaurant a try! You won’t regret it.

Excellent food and excellent service. We ordered the stewed chicken and chicken mofongo. Both dishes were reasonably priced and came with plenty of food. The stewed chicken melted in my mouth with a lot of flavor. The beans and plantain were also delicious. The chicken mofongo was crispy and the plantain mash was a great compliment. Don’t forget to get a drink too! We enjoyed a couple refreshing Bushwhackers.

We visited this restaurant during the stay-at-home lockdown. Unfortunately we could not sit down to eat so we took our food to go. The fried pork chop was absolutely phenomenal. I wasn't impressed with the plantains but I guess they are made in true Dominicans Ranch fashion so I wasn't sure what to expect in the first place. They just taste like potatoes in my opinion. We went on a Sunday which is the only day they make sancocho and it was very, very good. I had never tried conch before but it was good as well. The service was excellent and the people were very kind. I would return if I get back to Saint Thomas.

We came here while stopped in St. Thomas on our cruise. We felt the service was very, very slow even for island time - this was our last stop, so we were quite accustomed to island time! The drinks were only ok and the food was mediocre at best. Two out of the six of us were completely dissatisfied with our meals and found this to be very expensive. I am sorry to say that I do not recommend this place at all.

It was a Sunday night and the restaurant had maybe 2 or 3 servers and 1 manning the takeouts. The takeout line was very long and to get seated also took a long time. Then the wait for food once ordered also took awhile. The Dominican flavor was there, with delicious fried plantains and slow stewed pork, but be prepared to wait perhaps an hour or so to eat if it’s busy!

My husband and I were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink orders. She came back about 15 minutes later, no drinks, to take our order. Another 10 minutes went by and we finally got our drinks. End of story! We got so tired of waiting on our food, the table next to us was seated at the same time and had already finished their meal. We left enough to cover our drinks. Kinda sad, we were looking forward to trying it.

The menu had many good dishes we were looking forward to and they did not disappoint. The rice, beans and meats they had were put of this word! My wife had the mofongo and she made her plate disappear (which rarely happens) lol. Everything was amazing!

The activities director at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove said Rancho Latino is a restaurant she and her grandfather frequent. If a local goes there, we figured it would be great for us. And it was! I had a yummy appetizer of shrimp in a garlic sauce with bell peppers. The black beans were delicious - no meat. And our entrees were filling and provided the local Caribbean taste we were craving. Everything was great!

September 15, 2021 Four of us went for dinner. There is a lot of close parking and it is well lit too. We were quickly greeted and offered several places to sit. There is so much to choose from on the menu (see my posted menu pictures). They have a full bar, sodas, and iced tea. We ordered a variety of items. The fried calamari and it had a tasty breading on it and the sauce Wes very flavorful. The shrimp in garlic sauce was very good and was great spooned over rice. The fettuccine with shrimp was in a wonderful Alfredo sauce and it em was easily enough to split/share. The salt fish (we chose tomato base) was very good too. Sorry, no room for dessert (next time!).

We stopped here after landing in STT. It was nice to find a sit down place and have some comfort food after a day of flying. The menu consists of a lot of Peurto Rico plates. I had the stewed beef on jasmine rice, two meals worth of food provided. The restaurant is in a strip mall, so parking is available. Hope you enjoy your stop and the food at Rancho Latino.

We had beef patees, rice with beans, and mofongo with shrimp and red sauce (creole). Great food and sauces, reminded me of the best I've had in Puerto Rico. Service was fast and very friendly.

This is one of my family's favorite lunch spots. Their beans and rice are THE BEST! We repeatedly order the chicken in alfredo sauce, stewed chicken, and beef lasagna. The servers are always very kind.

We walked here from Frenchtown and were hot and thirsty upon arrival. We were warmly greeted and shown a place to sit and a glass of cold refreshing water was brought immediately. Our meals were great. My son ordered a goat dish and I ordered the chicken with tostados. Both were wonderful and delidious and our water glasses were never empty. Mucho gracias!

This place was very close to where we are staying, it's also close to the port where the cruise boats come in. The staff was very attentive and nice. The prices were decent, considering it's island prices. The food was awesome! My husband had gotten the fish sandwich with french fries and I got the stewed goat. Would HIGHLY recommend the goat. It's super flavorful, juicy, and tender. The drinks were a little higher priced but very good. Got the bushwhacker which I found out is one of the local drinks.

One of our favorite spots for great latin food. We either eat in or get to go, probably more than we should! I like the Canoa, and Seafood Pasta, my wife likes the Roast Pork, with rice and beans. We both love the Margaritas!
