The locals recommended this spot and we decided to try it out. For those who like to drink. They have happy hour from 4:30-7pm. So basically it’s buy one get one free. So two frozen margaritas of good size are $9.50. Two smoothies for the kids or even adults are $7.99. Now the only thing about this special. They will not allow you to mix and match. Even if they are the same exact price. You have to get two identical items at the same time. Go figure. Now the appetizers are also on sale but it’s the 1st time I have seen a business state at “reduced pricing.” So basically you get $1 to $2 off of the appetizers. I felt the chicken tenders were overpriced at $9.99. Had it come with fries. Then it would have been a fare price. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with the patty cooked well done and it was partially pink. The bacon could not be added to the burger because they have a house burger that is similar. So the server said the bacon had to be served separate. Another one of those special rules that they have. Aside from some of their strict rules. The food was decent and if you get lucky enough. You will be seated with beautiful beach views and a wonderful breeze.

I decided to try a late lunch at this establishment on a Monday, since the day before I'd inquired about a lobster special I'd seen on their signage for "Lobster Mania Tuesday". I'm so glad I decided on that because the food that I ordered which was a jamaican jerk shrimp wrap, had no jerk sauce and no "fiyah" twa it ennuh. Now, that's a jamaican patois speak for it was no good at all. And in fact the shrimp they plugged the wrap with looked like shrimp one would use for shrimp cocktail, it had no flavor and did not appear to be cooked in a pan. I was highly disappointed. As far as the title of this review goes, when asked if I wanted something to drink while I waited for the food to prepare, I affirmed and ordered a banana daquiri, which the island is 'spose to be famous for. Well, this place tarnishes that title because I tasted no banana, hardly any rum and it comes in a little 10oz cup with tons of ice. I tried to use caution in giving it back, thinking maybe after a third sip or more it would have a little kick and NO!, I was wrong. I do applaud the effort as the next server made an attempt to accommodate by taking a go at making the daquiri. Yet, it was the same deal and sadly I had to go without a drink at that point since I did not want to risk disappointment again or exhaust their efforts. So, stay away from ordering the daquiris here. If you want the best, head up the mountain side to Crown Mountain/Mountain Top. Man, you will be pleased with the daquiris up there for sho! Of course, there was no lobster mania tuesday for me.

We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise from Galveston to Barcelona when we stopped for the day in St. Thomas. After walking all over the place we thought we’d better snag some lunch. A good friend recommended the Green House Restaurant & Bar and glad he did. We shared an order of Lobster Salad Sliders with comes as three Sliders with fries. It was delicious to say the least and plenty of food for lunch for two 70 year old folks. We washed it down with iced tea. The service was great, the food was excellent and the location is perfect right on the Main Street. Highly Recommend!

Hmmmm, after reading many decent reviews, I had higher hopes of what our dinner would be like here. Wish it was better then it was. Priced ok, service was decent. I had a salad with a piece of fish, the salad was rather mushy and had some mushy pineapple on the top of it that I did not eat. Husband had a burger that was decent. I was given a tip from the hostess to make sure I didn't sit my purse on the window ledge upon arrival (because I had sat it there initially) she commented that the homeless people will reach up, grab it and run off with it. I thanked her for letting me know, sadly she was not kidding. It is ashame there are many homeless people in today's world but there were a handful of them right in front of this restaurant that were trying to talk to the guests on their way in and out.... we were very thankful that when we left we were not bothered by anyone. Not sure what could be done about this situation but the restaurant owner really should try and figure out a solution for this. We will not return, and I am not one to say bad things but feel something really should be done if at all possible. My husband actually bought a woman a meal the night prior at a different location as she truly looked hungry and was not bothering anyone in the area, she was very thankful.

Came back here for first time in 5 years for lunch. Not a good experience. Sandwiches Were not good. Shrimp jerk sandwich had tiny shrimp that were clearly out of a bag of frozen shrimp and barely cooked. Server refilled our ice teas and charged us for every refill without advising us. This used to be a good spot on St Thomas. We will not be back again.

My coworker and I are working on the island for the first time. We are here for two weeks & are open to any type of food. However, any restaurant we pick has to be appealing & clean. When you approach the Green house, they have signs explaining their process.(where to stand, etc) When you next step up to hostess, they check your temperature with a thermal gun. You then have the choice of either washing your hands or using hand sanitizer before being brought to your table. The menu is diverse, the prices reasonable. What we found most enjoyable was the pleasant staff and the consistency of the good service. Every night their happy hour is from 4:30 -7pm. (two for one on every drink) this is a real money saver when you compare it to the overpriced hotel bars. Everything from Sliders to salads to prime rib and lobster.Everything is good. The bar has a full page of tropical drinks. (all good) Given that so many restaurants are currently closed on the island, we had not found any other restaurant that even comes close to the good food, good drink, and wonderful friendly service we received on every visit there. I want to call out the two waitresses by name who deserve extra praise: Carol & Gloria. Thank you for making our experience(s) so pleasant :-)

I waited an hour and a half for a table then was served soup on a plate (it wasn’t a bowl - it was a half inch deep) that was cold. No joke. Cold. Everyone at my table had cold food too. Overpriced cold food. Was it good, even cold? It was bar food. Anyone that says it’s amazing doesn’t get out often enough. Even the fires were cold. Lots of other places. Not even close to worth it. I’m pretty go with the flow but a plate of soup and cold food is a no go from me.

We had driven by several times so decided to stop in for dinner. There was 8 in our party. We didn’t all get our food at the same time, some were almost done eating by the time the last person was finally served. One person’s meal was served cold and the service was so-so. The food was ok but probably the worst we have had in our six days so far on vacation. So many other places with much better food!

The service was incredibly slow, and not super friendly. We were seated immediately but waited 15 minutes to get water and a coke and it was about an hour before we got refills. The waitress was scarce, to put it nicely. It took over an hour to get our food, which included room temperature crab legs, and a side was forgotten. The other meal was pretty comparable to something from Red Lobster. At that point we just ate and left, we felt there was no point in trying to resolve our issues with how long we had already waited. Watch ordering anything that has a price that varies on the market, it seems like a great way to get ripped off. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on this experience.

Starting with happy hour, the waitress told us that French onion soup which was very good, qualified for happy hour discount but we were charged full price. The waitress also told us the buy one get one cocktails did not have to be the same, so we ordered 2 different cocktails. She delivered 2 of each all at the same time. My entree arrived about 20 minutes before my wife’s. I was done eating before she even got her food. Her baked potato was rotten inside. She told the waitress. They brought her a new one but left the rotten one on her plate beside the prime rib, not very appetizing. She couldn’t eat much after that. She didn’t drink one of her cocktails, she wanted only one and planned on ordering wine with her steak but didn’t because of the circumstances. The waitress said the manager said to give 10% discount. We didn’t get to talk with the manager.

Sorry If you had all these problems, I will address them, would be helpful to know the server name. To address the potato. It is a discoloration, when we bake them we punch holes in them. This sometimes cause a blackening inside. We sell case of potato a day. I can assure you, 100% we sell fresh food.

I really like this place for both the food and the people! They are serious about COVID, both taking your temp and giving you a squirt of hand sanitizer as you arrive. Maybe a bit of Covid theater rather than an effective technique but being proactive is a good thing. The happy hour drinks are two for one and tasty. Prime Rib specials on Monday and Thursday are popular w locals and tourists alike. The cut of beef is ok, not great, and asking for it to be delivered rare is an exercise in futility, but it was still one of the better meals I have had on the island. If you look at my photo (Prime Rib -Rare?) you can see it was a bit fatty and cooked medium rare at best, but considering how expensive worse meals are at nearby restaurants, I figure this is pretty good by comparison. And Seerah was an excellent waitress, the drinks were very good and the place has a great atmosphere. I will be back!

I ordered a mahi-mahi sandwich which came with two (2) sides for about sixteen dollars ($16.00). I felt that the prices and the portion sizes were reasonable, but I felt that the server seemed very distant from me. I liked the food, but I definitely want to try other restaurants. The line to get a table was also quite long.

My party of three went to this restaurant the night of August 2nd. We came specifically for drinks and their Johnny cakes. The hostess said that was possible; she was very sweet. When we got to the bar, the Caucasian male bartender rudely said that we could only have Johnny cakes with an entree in an effort to force us to have a meal. So upon hearing that, we left. So you got no drink orders, no Johnny cakes, no nothing. Clearly the bartender should not be making business decisions for this establishment. What a way to lose business! So simple minded and clearly no business savvy. The bartender should stick to making the drinks, and you should hire a manager that knows how to get to yes.

We went here based upon other reviewers’ recommendation. The service was Les than stellar. During “Happy Hour, 2x1 rate, we were charged double the regular price and bottled water turned out to be $6.50 per bottle! My husband’s hamburger was like leather, dry and over-cooked!! The appetizer, Mozzarella Cheese sticks were overcooked and hollow! Fellow restaurant goers waited over an hour to be seated and we waited 45 mins to be served. We realize that in today’s pandemic situation, the workers are few. However, this establishment provided no communication with us. We would definitely not return here

Was very expensive. We order the King crab legs and potato skins. And steak. We was seated right away but then it went down hill big time. It took over 45 minutes to get our order and after that it took 40 minutes just to get our drinks. One hour and 45 minutes the food came to the table the potato skins was burnt and cold the steak was very blan and lot of fat the crab legs was cold and was rubber I dont want to hear they was busy because there was lot of seats and most of the staff was on their phone's. Save your money its not worth it.
