I eat here often and every time that I do, the service, food, and ambience are excellent. The food is authentic Jamaican food that is cooked so well that it just melts in your mouth. Be sure to try one of their specialty drinks!

My party discovered the restaurant off the trail of all the jewelry and typical tourist shops. I ordered curry goat and a mango daiquiri. At the time they were understaffed (one waitress/bartender for the entire floor) so we were warned that food and drinks may take a bit of time. Despite the expectation of a long wait the entire table... More

My wife and I ordered the Mango Daiquiri, Pina Colada and the jerk chicken with rice and Peas (beans) and fried plantain. The chicken was a small leg quarter and was so overcooked it was tough and falling off the bone. The rice was dried out from sitting too long. The plantain was fine. The Mango daiquiri was ordered because... More

First, a disclaimer - My wife is from the Caribbean and a fabulous cook, and I enjoy really spicy jerked food, so we have different expectations than many travelers to the Caribbean. That being said, the restaurant was recommended by a local. The food here was pretty good. I had the jerk pork - good flavor, but needed more heat... More

We only found out of this restaurant because a local recommended and boy were we pleased. My mouth waters every time I think of the Callaloo Saltfish I had. The service was just as impressive. Prices were extremely reasonable and wont break the bank. We will definitely go back. It's right near all the shopping and jewelry stores.

My family and I were visiting St. Thomas from the cruise trip and wanted to have local cuisine and asked a couple of locals and they both directed us to Trenchtown Rock. As a Jamaican, I knew that at least the name was authentic, so that was a good start. The restaurant has a colorful, authentic atmosphere. We ordered the... More

When our tour guide called ahead to the Trenchtown Rock Restaurant to let them know we had a party of 10 and took the liberty of ordering for us and the order included goat and oxtail, I wasn't sure he had made the right choice??? He actually made the Best choice. Our party of 10 shared 6-7 plates so that... More

We arrived after leaving the cruise terminal in a ten minute cab ride. It was very easy to find on Wimmelsskafts Gade in Charlotte Amalie. The food was sublime. I ordered the jerk chicken, sweet potato and rice and peas (brown beans for mainlanders). The chicken melted off the bone and the sides had just the right amount of spice.... More
