Contrary to other reviews we received excellent service. We had a reservation, were seated promptly, and the server was great. The place was packed on a Monday night (all you can eat crab legs) but the food was very good and came out very fast....We had the lobster Alfredo stuffed lobster and the Captain's Platter and a bottle of wine - $200 with tip. Which might seem like a lot BUT we took home enough lobster pasta for 2 meals and 4 clusters of crab legs from the Captains Platter. So think of it as dinner plus another take out dinner! Each dish had a massive local lobster to start. Then the pasta had another lobster chunked up in it and piled over the massive lobster. The platter had another even larger lobster, 6 clusters of crab legs, a bunch of PEI mussels and some shrimp (as well as baked potato and corn on the cob). Get the picture? Wear your stretchy pants and plan on bringing home a big leftover meal.More

We arrived for our reservation on time st 7pm....had to wait until 7:30 to be seated....another 10 minutes before drink order was taken then another 10 to get our drinks. We ordered the Captains Platter $62 each. Food was excellent. You are automatically charged a...20% tip for any size party. We got 1 eclair to go -$12...our meal...with 2 sodas..and the eclair....with the 20% tip was over $175 for 2 adults. The tip was almost $30. The food was worth it....service was not. When you sign receipt....there is a tip place.....so people may not realize they already gave 20%. I am a great tipper but would have never tipped out waitress 20% for the service we received. They don't have to care how you are treated...they are guaranteed the tip.More

Even though we were sitting on a deck, there shouldn't be ants all over your table - this actually happened to us at two different tables. We stayed once they cleaned the second table because it was such an expensive cab ride to get there,...but I hope they can do better. This seemed like a nice family-owned place.More

As always, post COVID, many places are closed, taking a break, can't find anyone, end of the season. Always CALL anyplace you are interested in visiting and speak to a live person first. Just visited the island (June 26 2021) and much is down.

Visited on a Saturday evening. We didn't have a reservation, but was able to be seated at the bar. Ordered the surf and turf and the lamb chops. The food was very tasty. The food is on the expensive side. The bartender was great, and...made up for the slow speed of the food to come out with excellent drinks!More

Monday is supposed to be all you can eat lobster special night. I was prepared to pay whatever they charged, but alas it was bait and switch, once seated we learned that they didn't even offer it. The substitute was an overpriced Captain's seafood platter......if I wanted Alaskan Crab legs I would have gone on vacation to Alaska, not St. Croix. They had one local fish on the menu, Wahoo... and then when the second person in my party ordered that, it too wasn't available, and was being substituted with a very ordinary Mahi fish (which I could get on a menu virtually anywhere). The place seemed overwhelmed, yet for our first hour seated, several tables were not seated. Food took forever to get, when there's no salad course it felt even longer. Adding insult to injury, nothing says on the menu that there is a mandatory 20% service charge. You need to tell people that upfront. Better yet... just add it to the prices, and then tell people it is a "no tipping" restaurant with servers paid a living wage. I would not recommend this place, unless you are dead set on the view.More

If you don’t have plenty of time, skip this place. My husband and I went on Monday night around 7p. It wasn’t overly busy, but we didn’t leave until 8:30p. It took about 10 min for our waiter, Theo, to greet us and get a...drink order. It took another 10 min before the waiter took our food order. We opted to split one of the specials. Our food arrived about 25 minutes later. Our waiter didn’t check in once from the time we ordered until our food arrived. The food was good, but part of our order included mussels and 4 of the 8 mussels were empty. When we finished, we waited another 10-15 minutes to get our check. Seemed a bit unreasonable to spend an hour and a half at dinner when we ordered 1 entree, a glass of water, and 1 glass of wine.More

We visited on a Monday for the crab and lobster specials and found the food to be quite good. The service wasn't great, the prices were very expensive, and we were put off by the mandatory 20% gratuity that was added for our party of...four. Although our lodging was very close to the restaurant, we chose to go elsewhere for the rest of our stay.More

Quite possibly the worst service I’ve ever had, especially at such an expensive restaurant. Water is served in tiny juice glasses and rarely refilled. Our waitress literally walked past our table five times without ever looking in our direction. I had to stick my arm...out and block her path to get her to notice us. Definitely NOT worth the over-inflated prices. I live 1/2 mile away and will never be back there.More

We just got take out pizza--it was good, easy to customize what you want on it, and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I picked it up in the middle of a crazy dinner rush but it was ready when they said it would...be, it was hot, and it was GIANT. In Oregon you don't often pay $30 for a pizza, but nor do you get one this big. So it was a very good value, tasted good, and we will definitely be back.More

Of course they clean. At the end of a busy day/night things will not be spotless but if it was never cleaned it would quickly become a hell-hole. This is a pretty strange question.
