Nice location. Clean. Herb greeted us from the door and we had a great conversation. Very insightful and inspiring. Food was good. Would definitely recommend.

The food was fresh and very good! The food did take long - but it was yummy. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed many times. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well!

This place has a lot of promise. The cafe has a lovely outside courtyard, is spacious inside and out, has friendly staff and service is super quick even during the busy morning time. However, speed comes at a cost. And at this cafe it is...a lack of pride in presentation and providing a great taste to their food. For example, the avocado and tomato on toast will be exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more: toast with half an avocado and tomato a little sliced on a canteen style white plate. Forget about the yummy avocado on a poached egg with little herbs experience. It’s not bad, but certainly nothing to write home about. Their special signature coffee (which they also sell) is very mediocre too. But the nearly $13 healthy smoothie is very good. You order at the counter and they deliver outside. Perfect for Covid times. The owner swoops on you to clear away whatever you finished almost as soon as the food is off your plate. Despite his perfunctory friendliness, I felt I better not linger to enjoy the WIFi and finish my coffee quietly. Just a few steps away is Lemon to Go which provides a more pleasant cafe experience.More

We picked Shay’s Cafe for breakfast today because it has great reviews and it is a nice leisure walk from our resort. I have to say, I thought it was very mediocre. We got the breakfast sandwich on toast, it looked really thin and skinny,...it tasted just fine. The pancakes were also fine but the coffee tasted burnt and was very bitter. The owner seemed really nice and helped set up Charlie ans tables for those who came by. He also told many people but the kitchen was backed up and there may be a wait for the food. Again, I felt that it is definitely a place to swing by to grab breakfast but I wouldn’t make a destination out of it.More

We loved this spot on Provo. Herb the owner was awesome, he would come around and greet each table. Herb was so knowledgeable about the islands as well. The food was excellent, the food was priced right as well. They have the best coffee on...the island as well. Highly recommend.More

Loved Shay Cafe. The owner Herb was so nice to us giving us tips and suggestions. Food was really good. Breakfast spots were hard to find so this was a pleasant find.

The food is amazing! Best spot for breakfast in the island! Highly recommend stopping by! The owner, Herb, always seems to be there and is very warm and welcoming. Very peaceful spot! We’ll definitely be going back next time in the island.

The Gansevoort is a little out of Grace Bay, so it would be quite a long walk, 45 minutes to an hour. You could probably use the resort's bicycles (15-20 minute ride), or by car, it is an approximate 5-minute ride. Thank you... More
