This is a favorite place of ours. The food is amazing. As soon as you walk toward the restaurant you are greeted with the aroma of the East. The chef has a refined hand coaxing flavors to take your tastebuds on a culinary trip. His passion shines through on every plate. We’ve had the pleasure to try several dishes and each becoming the new favorite. The flavors are robust and exciting without being overly powered by spice. The open kitchen provides a show while you watch the team work their magic and fill vessels of flavor on every plate. It’s a must try location!
Mufassa is a fantastic host. He elevates the experience by making you feel like the most important people in the place. In my observation, he IS the VIP. He has wonderful attention to detail to anticipate the needs of his clients and creates a fun atmosphere. His handcrafted cocktails and coffees are prepared with an elevated sophistication. He literally makes ordering a Smokey Old Fashion an experience. After dinner, I enjoy a good cup of coffee. Order a double Flat White. It’s dessert in a cup and pair it with the Chocolate Lava Cake.
Enjoy WE Market and take the time to immerse yourself in senses. Set your clock to island time . No need to rush but to savor every smell, bite, and drink while in good company.

Biggest surprise of our trip. A very eclectic menu and everything was outstanding. The tastiest, prettiest dumplings ever, super authentic. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio out of this world. Fried Rice that was not greasy and delicious.

We came here for breakfast, lunch and dinner on 3 separate occasions during our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They are incredibly accommodating with food allergies, preferences and answering all questions. The chefs are in the same room as you while you are dining so you can smell your food while it is cooking. Ruth is the best waitress - very welcoming and kind!

I also reserved a table at this restaurant based on all the good reviews but is was a huge disaster.
Very slow, disorganized service and the restaurant was not even crowded. The main dishes arrived 2 hours after we had sat down. The steaks were ok, at least they were tasty. The chicken was cold and dry. When we were literally finished eating the main dishes, the waitress asked if one of us could come to the cashier to pay. (It seemed that the manager wanted to close the accounts for the evening.)
Then, when we put the tip on our credit card, the waitress commented that we should have given her cash so that she would have received all the tip and not have to divide it amongst her co-workers! Unbelievable

We ate at WE Market Cafe several times last week while staying on the grounds of Kokomo Botanical Resort and it was terrific! This restaurant is open for the public, not just for people staying on-site, and it's definitely worth a visit. Or in our case, several!
First, we really enjoyed the open concept atmosphere with the restaurant being open to the upstairs lounge and poolside areas. You can eat in the restaurant itself or outside in any number of places.
We had a few lunches, dinners, breakfasts, and drinks because it was just so convenient and we liked staying on the grounds so much. But as we were there, we saw all sorts of people come and go including a marriage proposal on our last night. So sweet!
The concept is East meets West so there's a lot of variety on the menu. The steak is supposed to be incredible but I'm more of a seafood person and I loved the ceviche and wahoo. They do a fantastic job with the Asian dishes. The breakfast was also wonderful to eat poolside. I could really imagine a group of girlfriends enjoying brunch and mimosas poolside for a leisurely morning/afternoon!
This is really a hidden gem of a spot. Don't be shy to drive to the gated resorted for dinner, it's absolutely worth it!

The ambiance is great. That aside, the rest of our experience was subpar. I don’t know if the main staff was on vacation following the winter holidays, but our server barely checked on us and the kitchen staff - who you can watch from the table - didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Everything was over cooked. The tenderloins were well seasoned but chewy and inedible, and the pesto pasta was tough and oily. I asked for shrimp with the pasta, and I think there were a few in there somewhere… The wagyu bolognese was a sad spaghetti and meat sauce.
I’m not sure why “wine bar” is in the name considering their wine list was a single page with few options. I had to go to the bar to ask for it after asking our server with no luck. The bartender also seemed confused by simple wine orders, such as a house Pinot Grigio. The house cocktails were great though.
Also, the bathrooms are out houses. And smell like sewage.

The food and service was impeccable. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch. We recommend coming by, especially if you have people who want different things. They have something for everyone or if you just want options on the type of food you feel like eating. During one of our visit we were greeted with an espresso martini to get the wedding festivities started.

The restaurant was partly outdoor and partly inside and had a pleasant decor. The server came and asked us before we even looked at a menu if we were ready to order. We should have known then that the food would come out fast and we would be rushed on a casual, vacation dinner. Not only did the food all come at once despite ordering an appetizer and then dishes to share, other than the tuna poke, the food was average, salty and lacked flavor. Despite an interesting menu, the chef rushed the food out, I had to go inside the restaurant frequently to ask for things the server forgot to bring to us. It was incredibly disappointing and despite expressing our concerns to the manager, there were no apologies or acknowledgment from the restaurant about their shortcomings. There are many other better options for dining on the island. Don’t wast your time or money here.

We had the mahi mahi slider and it is a pressed fish burger. The worst slider I ever had. It was not flakey worst texture ever. The beef slider was dry and tasteless. We had the flat bread and that was pretty good. Then we had the duck fried rice. It was terrible no flavour and duck was already cooked and reheated. I would give zero stars but the server was good. It was Friday night at 7pm and we were the only guests. We thought about getting some raw fish dishes but if it’s not busy that’s just a bad idea.

We'd like to clarify a few points to ensure there's no misunderstanding. At WE Market Cafe, we import all our ingredients to maintain the highest quality and freshness. We would never serve pressed fish burgers. Our mahi mahi sliders are made from premium, whole fish, ensuring a flaky texture that's usually a favorite among our guests.
Regarding the duck fried rice, we always prepare our dishes fresh. If you order duck on demand, please note it would require a preparation time of at least 45 minutes, as we do not pre-cook and reheat our dishes.
We only have one raw fish dish on our menu, the wahoo ceviche. Therefore, it's puzzling to hear your concerns about "raw fish dishes." We strive to ensure our customers are satisfied with their meals. If something wasn't to your liking, we wish you had informed us during your visit so we could have promptly addressed your concerns and offered you an alternative.
It's important to us that all feedback is honest and accurate. Many guests enjoy our sliders, which are a highlight of our menu, making your comment surprising.

Food is VERY good.... Average $500cad a meal for family of four with no alcohol is too much thou for what you get.
Had 5 meals so far....
4 had the foods not arrive together AND / OR the starters come with the main.
Some of the staff are beyond excellent, some are new to service.
We WILL keep coming back.
The music is varied and excellent choices.
The atmosphere is excellent.
The chef's definitely deserve high praise.
If there were 3.8 starts that's what we would give.
Greatful they opened for Christmas!!!

WE loved WE Market Cafe! It was located on our resort and I could not complain one bit!!! Everything that I had was absolutely delicious. Our server Ruth made us want to order more just so that we can be around her infectious personality. The Rum Punch was to die for as well as the octopus!!!

The food was world-class and the service fit for a dignitary. Prices are very reasonable considering the portions and amazing quality. And with three levels of service: Gourmet-To-Go, Regular Table Service, Chef’s Table, there is a flexibility that most restaurants of this level don’t even offer. This spot is a hidden gem with a unique atmosphere in an over saturated market place. I recommend eating here at least once, even if your stay on Provo is very short. Guaranteed you’ll want to return again and again!

Service was sporadic and slow. 1.5 hours from seating until appetizers. Then another.5 hour for entree. Bone in rib-eye- no bone, slices, tough, inedible ( I ate two bites of a ten ounce steak). Wife had short ribs that were extremely tough. Potatoes were edible even though they were served cold. Worst dining I’ve had in many years.

We stayed at Kokomo Botanical resorts and by far the best part was the WE cafe. We came every morning before the beach to get our coffee and pastries from Ruth. She was lovely and always remembered us and what we needed/wanted. We came back for lunch a couple of times and Ruth was there to help us again. Delicious food and even better service. We will miss all the amazing staff.

My companion and I enjoyed an excellent meal at We Grill at the Kokomo Resort. The food was delicious, the setting was lovely, and the service was excellent. The restaurant used to serve only resort guests, but has recently opened its doors to a wider audience, offering both a wine bar and fine dining. It will be an excellent addition to the Provo dining scene, offering as it does a focus on carefully prepared all natural foods.
We had a number of questions about the menu. Many of these could be answered by our efficient and helpful waiter, KD, but we were nonetheless pleased when the chef, Horacio, took the time to visit our table at each course to tell us about the food and the way in which it was prepared, to help us make our selections. We began with an unusual roasted pumpkin salad, which was delicious.
The dry aged meat is supplied by the St Lawrence Market in Toronto. Our filet steak was perfectly cooked to each of our tastes, and accompanied by a rich reduction sauce, simmered down over a 28 hour period to intensify the flavor. It was truly delicious.
For dessert, we chose a white chocolate fondue, with berries for dipping. The fondue chocolate was made by the chef, and was so flavourful, we asked for spoons to ensure none went to waste. This was accompanied by a shot glass of strawberry wine topped with cream, which once again was created from scratch in house. It is this level of care over the food that makes We so special. Highly recommended.
