We kind got over the nasty overpriced food in Turks And Caicos. The cheapest option is getting food from the grocery store and cooking at yourself which is also the best option, in terms of eating decent food. If you want to go out I would, consider somewhere café for the flamingo. The flamingos a bit of a dive but awesome fun.
Jensen's is like finding an oasis in the middle of a food less desert. Chinsons has good vibes with nice reggae music and real food. I had to goat curry and my wife the fish and chips and it was authentic awesome. We ate here after a number of recommendations and it did not disappoint. The reviews said pass on the Chinese and stick with the jerk chicken. We found the jerk chicken to be amazing. This should be a must stop for a meal while in Provo. The prices were reasonable. Small plates with rice and slaw were $13 or large for $16. The view from the deck is great. It is along the main highway, but otherwise the food and staff were great. The pina coloda was also good.

We have been coming here for a few years and it gets better every time we come here.
It's frequented by locals which says it's.a good place.
The pulled pork sandwich was great. It has a fold over soft bun which keeps it together while you are eating. Yes we got some juice on our hands but nowhere near as messy as standard buns.
The place is simple but clean. It has soft music not blaring head banging music. If I lived here it would be my go to bar and grill.
No pictures because we wolfed down the sandwiches before we realized lol

This may be a problem of my own making since I ignored all the great reviews of the BBQ and jerk chicken and ordered off the Chinese menu. In all fairness I wanted something a little different after a steady diet of copious seafood, jerk chicken, steak and Italian food. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the Kung pao chicken and they were both a mess. The sweet and sour chicken had this super thick breading that made it really soggy and If you peeled it off the chicken the chicken itself tasted like a herb chicken. The sauce tasted like an overly sweet koolaid. Unlike any sweet and sour sauce I’ve ever tasted and just bad. The Kung pao chicken had almost a ketchup taste in the sauce which was just strange. Certainly more of what you’d expect with onions and peppers and peanuts but the chicken itself was super dry and painful to eat. We got fried rice with both and it was more like brown rice with vegetables. I have to say for ordering a small the portions were still absolutely huge. Overall a totally disappointing meal and I definitely recommend not ordering off the Chinese menu.

My hubby & I decided to stop for early dinner on a Monday. We were the only customers there. As we walked in, waitress who was sitting at a table said, "sit anywhere you like and grab a menu". OK, sure I guess that's being friendly. Took 30 minutes to get waited on from her. After some discussions on "What Happy Hour drinks were included?" we decided on a beer and a vodka with cranberry juice 2 4 1. Ordered our drink and food. Drink came quickly, food wasn't far behind. Island shrimp and Goat stew. Both were good not great. Then that was the end of our service. No more response from her. She could have cared less for us or any other customers coming in. Had to go up to bar and let her know we would like to order our 2nd drink. Then back to the bar to her to check out. We waited and waited. I know it's island time but really! Oh, and we bussed our own table.

Delicious food, great value, generous portions, easy-going atmosphere… but the highlight of the visit is Marjolaine!
From the moment you arrive, she welcomes you with a beaming, enthusiastic smile. Genuine, kind and treats you like old friends. I watched her light up smiles on every single patron's face as she went from table to table. She is awesome!
The location has great breezes and even peeps water views over the island. The food is really good and a great value, even if you have picky kiddos in tow.
We had wings, pulled pork sammies, and a salad with jerk chicken. Delicious. My fry-experts said the fries were not to seasoned, fat, skinny, crunchy or squishy. :) The bread is soft and tasty, the veggies fresh, and meat is lean and tender.
Two days later we returned to eat it all over again! Can’t wait to try other dishes on the menu—and of course—see Mar again! 💕

Fantastic restaurant, Great food portions and great staff. So glad we chose this over Mr Grouper and other mostly touristy restaurants. I would take concierge recommendations with a grain of salt regarding restaurants. I prefer where the locals eat but also clean and hygienic. The first sign that this was a great place was the amount of locals constantly picking up food as takeaway. If you are looking for expensive decor ambience, this is not the place for you. But if you want good food in an outdoor Well ventilated environment then this is the place for you. pricewise, you also get more bang for your buck. We ate here as a family member four 2 adults, 2 teens.
we got menu items from both the local menu and the chinese menu. We heard from the owner who is a pleasant Jamaican guy that Chinese Jamaicans curated the menu giving it authenticity. The rice (both regular and chinese) were the best we had in town. It is a family owned store that also has a bakery. Ask your server nicely about bread and ask for the most freshly made , you will get warm or hot fresh out of the oven bread (we got the hardough bread😉. Drinks were also great. So for families like ours for who an overpriced all inclusive resort doesn't work (no way we could eat and drink the thousands of dollars it costs), this is a great place to eat.
PS: Gratuity is typically added but don't hesitate to give a bit more. Island locals typically have to work 12 hours a day in two jobs to survive this expensive island because everything is imported. I

We ended-up going to Chinson's twice on our week-long trip as the food was just so good. We had the BBQ chicken, jerk pork and jerk chicken, fried fish and fried shrimp and it was all delicious. The homemade ginger beer is has a lot of kick! Service was super friendly. The only "down" side is the view, as it's on a main road, so it's not that pretty; but the atmosphere with the bar and bakery on property, combined with the food, make up for it. We bought some of the bread at the bakery and it was delicious! But definitely worth the trip.

Stopped in thinking was going be quick take out & back to our place to eat. boy was I wrong. Dont get me wrong the food was excellent! (the amount of locals here was already my indication of good food & to stop here) Jerk chicken meal & vegetarian Chinese food meal were both delicious & plentiful. Was close to 30 mins though due to high volume of orders & staff confusion. My only complaint was the snotty young cashier girl being so miserable (while doing nothing but take money) while her co workers running there ass off including nice young waitress trying to get my order filled
& recognizing the delays in getting my food while others after me had already been & gone!
Food was great would definitely visit again!
(P.S. as a suggestion you need better ways to compkete orders than getting a phone # while prepared food sits in bags on the counter. Not complaining just pointing it out as it seens to create lots of confusion amongst your staff)

Spicy, smoky jerk chicken and pork is something that sits in your subconscious and suddenly reappears now and then, demanding satisfaction, and there’s nothing to do but head for Chinson’s. With breezy, outdoor covered or open dining, these folks were doing proper social distancing before it became a thing. Add some coleslaw, maybe some BBQ ribs and some crunchy sweet festival and the world is temporarily right side up again. Lunch today was an oasis of friendly, cheerful relaxation with friends, and they’re available for takeout, too. I’m so very glad they made it through the lockdown!

Im a frequent traveler that visits the TCI very often.I Went to Chinsons on Wednesday April 14th because my personal concierge recommended there for meatloaf.Went there and the asian/ white,or whatever she is was so busy on her phone and I’m trying to order.(That was exactly at 12:56 when I went.Noting that so that female knows exactly it’s her Im referring to) asked her what the cost was and her rude,disgusting self just gave attitude ,continued on her phone,took my $10 and shouted to the other girl “2 meatloaves” though I told her 1.She couldnt even get that right.Her other coworker(a dark skin lady ) was very polite though,If it wasn’t for her I would’ve put 1 star instead of 2.It was only 2 of them working that shift.

We were in love with place 4 years ago during 2 visits in 2019. Fast forward to now, total garbage. We came in the mid afternoon on Saturday and sat at the bar. The bar lady seemed off put by how happy we were to be returning to the establishment and said well I have only worked here for 8 months. She seemed bothered by our presence from that point forward. She served our beer in plastic cups, not glass like the locals, after a few questions about the menu She came back much later to take our order. Food is not like it used to be. The jerk chicken used to have the flavor down to the bone, now its dry and no flavor! Yes i know this because I sat with owner in 2019 and begged her to just give me a hint on how they did it, yes I know and my jerk chicken tastes way better than theirs now. I know covid has destroyed the restaurant world/service but this place just got lazy and if your not a local and lighter skinned, you will not get average service. Don't waste your time in this spot anymore unless your a local.

Have eaten here many times and usually it's good but this visit the jerk was old or reheated and not good at all. The breads and "donettes" that accompany the jerk is good and in the past I have gotten good jerk here so perhaps a hit or miss, or I just came on an off day . Popular with the locals and a great place to buy your bread for home. Bar is good and is conveniently located on the way from the airport to town. Good menu , local flavor. I was disappointed on this visit but I'll be back to try again.

I ordered oxtails from here because I am always on the hunt for some good oxtails…. And it was cooked well…. The meat was tender and adjustment fell off the bone. They have air of rice and peas but only very few plantain (my only complaint). I ordered to go but was very satisfied with my meal.

Chinson’s Grill Shack is a small casual restaurant with friendly staff and reasonable prices. My family ate here on the way to the beach. Everything we had was delicious. My picky son finished his large pulled pork sandwich before the rest of us got through half our meals. The fish and shrimp meals were ample, fresh and tasty. It was easy to see why the jerk chicken meal was a National winner. The Jamaican Pattie’s were out of this world. We will be coming back here again.
