Shiann’s without a doubt does the best curry shrimp in Trinidad! Soft, perfectly cooked and so tasty! You can have it with a dhal and rice meal with sides or in a wrapped roti. Either way it’s the best! A testament to their popularity they moved from their small establishment on Cipriani boulevard to the larger former Woodford Café premises... More

Taken here for a business lunch by a local firm because we had asked for something traditional. It is certainly a no frills establishment but we were there for the food and it was excellent and appeared excellent value.

You order your filling for the roti and sides and can choose roti or rice. No frills but very tasty and inexpensive

I had a beautiful breakfast - coconut bake, eggs and tomato chokha with a cup of coffee. It set me back $44. It was delicious and filling but a bit above my normal breakfast price range.

Ah, what an experience at Shiann's. The bright colour of the food as you enter just draws you to buy everything as one eats with the eyes first. The food and ambience JUST RTIGHT.

I had curried goat with bora, stewed pumpkin and bussupshut. It was perfect. I also tasted the curried shrimp, chicken and lentil soup. The only item not to my liking was the spinach but maybe that was just bland after the flavour explosion of what I ate before? Highly recommend if you want authentic safe local cuisine.

I have only had take away in 32oz sizes with paratha. No complaints. Good tasting curry, freshly prepared, and I can pre order and it will be ready, no waiting. They opened on Divali and I got out in 15 minutes which considering the line of people in front of me. Please note that they do not take credit card... More
