We went to Veni Mange with a group of 10 people. We all ordered family style so we got to experience a lot of the different dishes. The food was great. From the meats to fish and all the side dishes. The atmosphere is very...fun and vibrant. If you are looking for a great place, give Veni Mange a try.More

Excellent local cuisine at very affordable prices. This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is like eating at home in a very comfortable setting. I eat here at least once per month.

Miss Rose too very good care of us! Enjoyed a great rum punch! Had the braised oxtail, very good! Colleagues had tuna & pork dish- side dishes served family style. Portions were good; only challenge was the oxtail and pork dish not served as hot...as they should have been. Will return again!More

Thank you for your review. Very appreciated to have your feedback and to note the 'challenge' with the temperature of the oxtail and pork. We learn from this and can now pay extra attention to this detail. Hope your return is soon. Cheers.

Dinner with friends was enjoyed by everyone. The service was very good, the staff all very polite, the dinner was well prepared and swerved. This is a very laid back, low keyed place with a large number of local and foreign guests who keep returning...to this nice place.More

Food and service at this restaurant is delicious and truly a taste of the Caribbean. The service was on point. The owner herself interacts with all the customers and takes time to find out individual tastes and recommends dishes accordingly. Will definitely come back here...and strongly recommend this restaurant.More

Food is probably one of the most fascinating aspects of Trinidad and Tobago, but it’s hard to find a nice restaurant to enjoy it. Most of the time, local food is only available in food stands, as street food, or (if you’re lucky) at Caribbean...homes (wonderful hosts). Veni Mangé has it all. The food is absolutely amazing, and it’s what you would hope to find in a wonderful dinner party at nice Caribbean home. It is served in a beautiful and cozy environment . The restaurant is placed in a typical, colorful, wooden building, which is cool but has no air conditioning (a blessing, considering most places have ac set at freezing). Local and regional art covers the walls, if you’re lucky you might get to listen to live Caribbean music, and one of the best aspects is that Rose, the owner, will always be there to make sure your visit is absolutely delightful. She is the kind of person that you will consider family a few minutes into talking to her. And she will certainly treat you like that. Try her rum punch, one of the best, and dishes like callalloo and the Chadon Beni sauce. Enjoy! Check their opening hours, as dinner is only served Wednesday to Friday evenings.More

Veni Mange is a delightful local cuisine restaurant on the "Avenue" a social hot spot in Port of Spain. We watched from their second floor dining room as the street activity picked up on a Friday night. The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and...helpful. She sent us off to watch a movie in a nearby park after dinner :>) You get sooo much food and it is all tasty. It's a great introduction to the local cuisine. Why, in a couple of days I was eating Chicken Foot Souse on the coast! And the place is filled with local art, with tables painted by the owner and her niece.More
