Very nice "creole" setting, with hospitable welcome. Natural cooling with fans. Food was ok, though not special, and "medium" Caribbean.

I've eaten here a few times over the years and the food never disappoints. The menu is mainly local with a twist, well presented and portions are certainly adequate. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. There's a well stocked bar. Open for lunch and dinner but with only roadside parking. It's not open on some days so call first. The... More

This restaurant is absolutely amazing, from the painting on the wall, to the excellent customer service, and the delicious food, I have enjoyed my dinning experience at this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to experience some of the cultural foods of Trinidad and Tobago, do not pass this restaurant by.

this is very cool place with colorful art and nice people running around making sure the vibe flows. we found that the prices were a little on the high side and nothing too exciting food wise. the fish was not fresh but frozen. there are some decent choices on menu and this could've been during slow season when fooed isn't... 7 of us went last Friday night - the place was recommended by our hotel, and it was certainly well deserved. I normally get food envy when others meals come out, but not here - my starter (saltfish) and man (beef stew and dumplings) were both spot on - but so apparently was the tuna and the oxtail. great selection... Very friendly staff in a relaxed open but tastefully decorated restaurant with artwork for sale. The real art here though is the food. Great mix of seafood and local land lubber dishes. Great meal and awesome rum punch!

We stopped in for lunch right when they opened. Great people, great local fresh food. The owner Rose came by our table to see how everything was. Great atmosphere with all the windows open. If you are in Port of Spain plan your day to get to Veni Mange.

Visited for a late lunch. Uniquely decorated with a sense of serenity. Being a Carb-oholic, the bread was to die for. The stuffed Plantain balls were delish but the fish my boyfriend ordered was a bit over done and a tad salty. Despite that I was happy I visited because as a child growing up in Trinidad, I always remembered... More

So sorry about the salty fish but hope you will return to give us another chance. Appreciate the comment as I will have a word with the cook to 'watch the salt"! And, thanks for the lovely words about my sister, Allyson. She is sorely missed. More

A true Trini dining experience...not air conditioned but always a good breeze. Local delicacies are always top-notch.
