We visited Carriacou for the day and headed to Paradise beach (the name is very fitting). We spent the day at the Hard Wood staying hydrated between swims and enjoyed many a cold Carib lager. The service was exceptional. They had water taxi service to Sandy Island (a picturesque Island a stones throw in the cove). We even booked our... More

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Carriacou and truly enjoyed it both times. The food and drinks were great, with beautiful views of Paradise beach and Sandy Island. The service was good as well and we had a cat as a visitor at our table the first time. Mostly we loved the very local, laid-back atmosphere Carriacou... More

Strong rum punches by Miss Joy! Great food, can't wait to get back and hope we will be staying very very close this time to Hardwood. Met lots of fun people while sitting having a drink there too.

Great bar, rustic restaurant atmosphere, plenty of shades and incredible turquoise views. The food is tasty and beer always cold and ready. I love the meals served here. You can get a taxi ride from here to Sandy Islands.

We visited Hard Wood Bar on two occasions, the first was a Monday lunch time, we arrived and bought a drink. Another few people arrived, so I went to the bar to order some lunch only to be told they were not doing food today. So we walked along to Off the Hook where we were welcomed. The second time... If you are up for the true laid back Carriacou atmosphere, this is where you should find yourself. the drinks and the food is the same as you will find everywhere else, but combined with at spot in the shadow with a view at the Paradise Beach, it doesnt really matter. From time to time they make a big pot... More

Halfway along Paradise beach, this bar is a hub of the local community. Fresh local fish is prepared outside on the beach, the bread van visits once a day so you can pick up a loaf with your rum punch, and they can organise a trip in their boat to sandy island. The meals are delicious but don't expect a... More

The owner, Joy, is a real Joy. We got to know her throughout the week and she and her family are very sweet people. This is a combination of a beach bar and they also serve some food. The menu changes daily, based on what is available. The food is all very fresh and homemade. Drinks are reasonable. Caribs are... More

We stopped here a few times. Once for a water taxi to Sandy Island. We didn't eat here, unfortunately, but the Caribs were always cold and served with a smile. Lots of locals hang here, so it can be a lot of fun for drinks.
