Have been staying on Nevis for over 4 weeks now, and visited many bars and restaurants whilst here,so am well aware of prices and realise it's not a 'cheap' Island. However, called in at this beach bar which has a great setting but nothing too fancy after dropping our daughter off at water taxi, to have a Carib (local beer).... More

Oualie Beach Restaurant is just a part of the Oualie Beach Resort. Resorts have far greater overheads than small restaurants, beach bars and rum shops and drink prices in Resorts will always be higher. However at Oualie Beach Resort we strive to keep prices affordable and priced well below our competition. For example at Oualie Beach Resort (3.5 stars) a... More

Quiet tranquil beach with good reasonably price traditional meals with a Caribbean twist .Free use of beach beds when restaurant used . We used during the day so can't speak for the evening. Mainly because we stayed closer to Pinney's Beach . Must try it out as I'm in Nevis yearly

We are delighted that you enjoyed our beachfront restaurant. You really do need to stay at our Resort for your next visit . It is wonderful to wake up in a room right on the best beach on the island. We enjoyed the day and the beach amenities. One of the best beaches on the island according to all the locals we have met.

You are correct that we have the best beach in both islands. Please come and stay with us next time and you will enjoy our relaxed casual ambiance and our rooms which are literally just a few steps from the beach. More

We were staying in a home while on Nevis for the week. We met the owner and his wife and they were very down to earth people. We came to this place during lunch on Monday. We found the food to be very freshly made and priced decently for the portions of what was served. Fish tacos, hamburger platter, fish... More

We sailed to Nevis from St Martin. Oualie Beach Restaurant is great place to anchor an use their dingy doc to eat at their restaurant, taxi to customs and explore Nevis. It may be the only place on Nevis extremely long beach with a Dingy dock that we could see. The food here was excellent and they gave us free... More

Thanks for your review. Yes, Oualie is the only beach property with a dinghy dock on Nevis. If you dine with us you are welcome to free WiFi, Ice, water and being a green hotel we would be a lot happier to take your garbage rather than risk it being deep sixed. There is a complimentary guest computer with printer... More

We ate 4 or 5 dinners and 1 lunch here during our recent trip. The food is good and plentiful and for reasonable price. The catch of the day was particularly good. Often having large 4"x4"x1" pieces of fish. Menu is somewhat limited (for people eating lots of meals here). They don't even have a burger on the dinner menu... More

We are pleased that you enjoyed our cuisine. Our meals are always cooked fresh to order. Chef Gary is working on the new menus and I will certainly bring up your point of wanting a choice of simple fare such as a burger occasionally in the evenings rather than a full meal. More

Stayed here for ten days . Breakfast was always great but dinner very hit and miss . Portion sizes varied dramatically from day to day, menu hardly changed, a lot of food unavailable so very little choice at times. Also very expensive for what you get.

We recently introduced a limited breakfast buffet to speed up the speed of service and am pleased that you enjoyed our breakfasts. Consistent portion size is definitely an issue as West Indian chefs love to see large portions, whereas most visitors dont want that volume these days. Supply availability will always be an issue. For example we do not freeze... More

We had been warned about the slow service at Oualie, but we still wanted to check it out during our stay, as we are beach-goers. We did have a lovely day there, and the water at Oualie is very nice for swimming, with no rocks/sea urchins or big drop offs. As we had middle-aged parents with us, this was a... More

We are so pleased that you loved our beach location and describe our food as being delicious. Thank heavens that you were not expecting fast food and were able to enjoy a leisurely beach afternoon with your family at our restaurant. For those that want to just eat and run there are fast food alternatives on St Kitts including KFC,... More

Nice location but the restaurant is run by total amateurs. Breakfast, lunch or dinner takes at least an hour and then the food arrives cold. They also managed to run out of brown bread & bacon at breakfast then draft beer and cavalier rum at lunch. Whoever manages this place is clearly absent or just does not care.

As we were staying here it was the most obvious place to eat but NO - staff miserable, rude or bored except for one lovely lady Terrian. Always running out of basics, portions small, expensive and Luke warm. Always took ages to get served and food arrived sometimes as long as an hour later. Avoid breakfast - takes even longer... Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The perfect dining location right on the beach. Reservations are recommended in the high season. Unlike most restaurants, we insist on serving FRESH FISH. Lobster, Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi are brought right into our dock from the game fishing boats and kept on ice, never frozen. We believe in promoting "farm to the plate" and work closely with local farmers to ensure a FRESH supply of vegetables and salads. Our local tomatoes are ridiculously tasty!. We work with the Ministry of Agriculture on the supply of locally grown , grass fed, organic beef and have created the demand for a tender, tasty hybrid cross between the Zebu and Red Pole cattle breeds. Again this is always FRESH and never frozen. Our dinner menu changes daily to incorporate what local foods are available and always has at least one Gluten free and one Vegan dish.
