We ventured out for our first COVID lunch on Sunday and wasn't too sure what to expect with the latest restrictions being lifted.
The staff welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco and it was clear that they were all in their element and so happy to be back at work. We were seated at our outside table on the deck (with that famous view), and our drink orders were taken along with my little one's needs being met.
Our starters could not have been tastier. I had the Coconut Shrimp and my friend the Conch fritters, both fresh, succulent and so tasty! The main course for me was the Lobster Salad (I only waited 3 months to have it) and my partner had the Lobster Eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious!
The Lobster Pot truly just tick all the boxes with a well thought out menu, beautiful views and very attentive and friendly staff. Thank you guys!

We have been going to GC for over 24 years, we dive with one of the outfits that office on the ground level below the restaurant and my wife and I ate dinner at the Lobster Pot for the first time this January. The building is unassuming but the dinner was superb. We have eaten at most of the higher visibility (and way higher priced) restaurants, but he food at the Lobster Pot is as good as any of them. And the more simple setting makes for a more intimate atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I were walking back to our Seven Mile Beach hotel from Georgetown and we decided to have dinner at The Lobster Pot. It was 5:30 pm on a Thursday and we didn’t have a reservation. There was no problem in getting a table by the window. Sun was setting and the view was amazing from the restaurant.
We shared the Queen Conch Fritters appetizer which came with 4 fritters. It was quite tasty. Bread was also served. For the entrée, we each had the seafood risotto with lobster tail. It was very good and quite filling. We were too full for dessert. We just had water to drink. Total cost of our meal which had a 15% gratuity included was US$156. Service was friendly and efficient.

Our family was so excited to return to Grand Cayman this year and the Lobster Pot was certainly on our list to try. We went with the best intentions in hoping we could have a great night of fine dining. If wine is important to you, the Lobster Pot is not the place to be. And, if you are seeking the thrill and taste of a whole lobster meal, well, they don’t offer that either. Sadly, we had to leave without dinner. We waited over an hour to get our food and were on a time clock with childcare. It worked out for the best though because back at the Kimpton we could enjoy a whole lobster meal and great wine!!!!!!

Hello Kristine
I deeply apologize again for the experience you had last night and the long wait for the food. I didn’t know you were on a time limit due to the kids.
My server and I apologized and we were hoping the food would have come out before your time ran out. The other point however, I don’t understand - if wine is important to you, we are not the place to be?!
I am very proud of the wine list we have and the wide range of wines by the glass and bottle and the price structure.
Pleas explain me your comment and feedback.
We appreciate your review and hope to be able to proof you another day or time that we can do better then your experienced last night on a very busy night.
Thank you
Niels

My husband wanted to eat here for dinner. He had the Cayman trio: lobster, Mahi Mahi, and shrimp and said all three were delicious. I had the NY steak and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had and I am from the Midwest! The chefs know exactly how to pair the right flavors and not over or under cook the food. I also highly recommend trying one of their mixed drinks. I had the Cayman colada and it was fantastic. It was expertly blended so you could taste all the flavors without tasting overly alcohol. We didn’t have reservations but if you book ahead of time you can sit outside on the deck. Either way you will have a good view. Michael was our waiter and he was phenomenal, courteous, and gave excellent recommendations! They also feed the tarpon around 7:30 which is fun to watch. We were too full for dessert but they had several delicious options to choose from.

We've been wanting to try Island Dine for awhile now because why would you not want to save 50% on a food bill. The atmosphere, the service, the food was incredible!! We ordered our favorites plus a few other items that we've never had before. We saved over $75! We walked away so happy with our tummies so full! We will definitely be booking again in a week... can't wait!

Where do I start.... it was the saddest and the worst birthday celebration. After calling the restaurant multiple times to make the booking noting it was a birthday celebration. Initially I wanted it on the Monday but they said they are closed on Mondays so I switched it to Sunday, literally the Saturday which was the 5 of March I called to confirmed that they have the reservation. Upon arrival, no one greeted us, and our table wasn't ready and that night they only had 5 table including ours. There was no acknowledgement of the celebration knowing it was actually written in the reservation book. The entrée meals were unenjoyable the lobster in creamy sauce was bitter because of the bourbon and mustard which I mention to the server but he just said okay, if your from the Caribbean you will not like the seafood curry; however the coconut shrimp was actually good. It wasn't the food that made me sad because I am a foody so when it comes to food I'm willing to pay once I receive the quality I'm paying for; being frank it was the quality of service, seems very casual, inattentive and not as friendly as anticipated.

This is my favorite restaurant that I've been to in Grand Cayman. We go each time we visit the island. Everything about it is wonderful. Hey, don't look at the prices - just go with the experience. If you are wondering what you should order there, just read the name of the restaurant. They also have a mahi, shrimp and lobster trio that is a terrific way to sample a bunch of stuff.
You may need your phone flashlight to read the menu since it's romantically lit (kinda dark). That is NOT a bad thing, it adds to the ambiance. The service is super and attentive. As a result, we have been to The Lobster Pot five times. When we plan our vacation to GCM, we say dinners will be at Lobster Pot and other places TBD. Caybrew and Lobster Pot are the must dos here.

This was ok. I ordered the Cayman Trio, lobster tail, shrimp and grilled Mahi Mahi, the Mahi Mahi was grilled to perfection. The shrimp was supposed to be in a garlic butter sauce, could not taste any garlic and the plantains were swimming in the butter, not appealing at all. My husband’s coconut shrimp, had a very heavy coating, no coconut taste at all. My conch fritters, ball of bead crumbs. The service was good and all waiters and waitresses help each other and are very friendly. Wouldn’t go back though.

I really didn’t enjoy this place. Drinks came after the appetizers after we had to ask if drinks were coming. Service was very mediocre overall.
The shrimp cocktail was the worst I’ve ever had- so over cooked and didn’t taste fresh at all. The lobster tail was 60 Cayman dollars and came out chewy bland and over cooked. I got a side of lobster mashed potatoes and they had no extra flavor- just a few tiny bits of lobster in them. This place was SO expensive for the quality and I would skip 100 times over!!!!

The Lobster Pot in George Twon is a regular spot for our visits. As a seafood lover I am able to get the Pot and it is filled with shrimp, Lobster and Crab legs. It is all sweet tasting and is enough to satisfy your appetite.

Nice Seaside atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent service from Elena, with a smile. I ordered “The Pot,” that included a lobster tail, crab legs, garlic shrimp, baked potato, and fresh vegetables. It was all perfect! For dessert I had the coconut pie, also excellent! A fantastic dining experience!

We enjoyed an excellent dinner tonight. Our apps were delicious, we ordered the beet root and goat cheese salad, tuna and avocado ceviche, and lobster bisque. The bisque had lumps of lobster and wasn’t too heavy. The cocktails/wine and our main courses were great as well. We sat outside and had a beautiful sunset to soak in. Our waitress was very attentive and recommend the homemade coconut cream pie for dessert. It didn’t disappoint, we almost wanted to ask for the recipe to take home to the state! Overall, great experience.

Not a bad place. Better than Paradise for sure.
My wife really enjoyed the seafood curry. The service was impeccable. I had the blackened grouper. I think the cut of the fish could’ve been a little thicker but it was quite tasty.

Enjoyed a Sunday Brunch after diving with Living The Dream who are directly below this restaurant. The lobster eggs Benny and unlimited Prosecco are a brilliant combo. The eggs were perfectly poached and the lobster was tender. The view on the patio can’t be beat and the servers were friendly and attentive.
