Was expecting more interesting food with the décor and atmosphere. Food was good but nothing special. Noticed they had a charge to split appetizers which is super weird and off putting to me. Maybe I am just not high class enough for this place.

From the time we called to make the reservation until the time we went home, we felt spoiled. The staff was friendly and welcoming and their recommendations were on point. We made our reservation and arrived early and they were still able to seat us...immediately. We never waited too long in between courses and our water and wine glasses were always full. The food was full of flavor and to say we left satisfied is an understatement. The chef came to the table to check on us and we had a wonderful conversation with him. Our waiter, Nathan, was an incredible host. Couldn’t recommend a restaurant with more enthusiasm. When you visit the island this restaurant is a must.More

Friends and I visited this restaurant on our last night in Grand Cayman and couldn’t be happier. Blue Cilantro was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the amuse bouche, to the stuffed breads we ordered for the table, the delicious cocktails,...and my meal itself - the burrata tart, grilled mahi-mahi, and sticky toffee pudding - everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely and Chef Shetty came out to talk to us several times. Would highly recommend!More

I read really good reviews on this place so I was excited to try it. My family of 4 and I went on a Saturday night at 7 without reservations. We got in right away and they sat us down. From that point on the...service was slow. We had to ask for menus. They did bring water right away and the server filling water glasses was on it. The wait staff however not so much. Got the foie gras appetizer and was underwhelmed. The goose liver was just seared in a pan served with 3 croutons and some kind of a spring roll with a dipping sauce that tasted very Much like catchup. My wife got the Paella and it was a solid dish. My 10 year old got the kid’s fish of the day and it was impressive. Mahi-mahi with mash potatoes, green beans and carrots. It had a nice sauce and the portion size was good particularly for something on the kids menu. My 7 year old got the kids lobster tail. This was her first lobster tail and she really enjoyed it. We were able to substitute French fries for mashed potatoes and it also came with carrots and green beans. Then we got to my meal. The server talked me into the duck special. I love duck, however, this was dry and tough. It came with a raspberry sauce that was kind of tasteless. We also split the hot fudge desert which was delicious, the sticky toffee pudding which was disappointing and ice cream that was ok. Ended the meal with the server knocking over my water into my lap. So I think they were having an off night. 3 out of 4 meals were good. 1 out of 3 deserts was delicious and the appetizer was ok. Service sucked, however, they may just be getting their game together post COVID.More

Fine restaurant with well thought fusion style restaurant. We had vegetarian and non-vegetarian in our party. Everyone left fully satisfied with savory food. Extra detail attention towards presentation, service and adequacy of the meal for everyone (ages 7, tween, teenager and 45). Would recommend someone...looking for overall excellent experience.More

Had dinner here on our 3rd night. Me, my wife and 3 adult daughters. Elegant cuisine, very nicely presented and served. The meal is the event, so plan to spend an extended time with intermezzo between courses. Some of the best food on 7 mile...beachMore

My spouse had the rack of lamb and said it was the best ever. I had the beef tenderloin and it was superb. Service is attentive and accommodating. Many choices of sides without the usual “chef’s vegetables”. Pleasant sections of wine’s by the glass.

Went to Blue Cilantro for brunch today and was not disappointed. I generally don’t do brunch as find it quite disruptive to conversation getting up and down to get food. The beauty of Blue Cilantro is that they bring the food to you so it...is hot and fresh and you don’t have to disrupt the conversation or stand in line while food stations get replenished. Great value for money and lovely friendly staff who make you feel welcome and looked after. The only down side was it was quite hot in the restaurant.More

Brunch at Blue Cilantro is wonderful. Instead of the usual Brunch Buffet at Blue Cilantro you remain seated and are served at the table by a very pleasant staff. Brunch includes a breakfast item (Eggs Benedict was great) and two meat entrees. In between the...wait staff serves you a long list of small plates ranging from ceviche of the day to dim sum and sushi. Each small plate is "endless" as you can simply ask for another if you really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very relaxing, food excellent and a great wait staff. Highly recommend.More

I don’t normally leave reviews on here, but after dining here last night I wanted to let people know how amazing this restaurant really is. Especially during the current times with the border being closed. It’s great to support a local businesses. My husband and...I had initially booked to go to another restaurant, when we got there we were informed they no longer had a dinner menu and it was only beach bar food. As we were on date night and looking for somewhere special we called Blue Cilantro and asked if they could fit us in last minute, which they did. When we arrived we were met with an extremely friendly welcome. The staff were knowledgable and recommended wine and food that they thought we might enjoy. We both shared the mussels, with the delicious garlic and cheese clay oven flat breads. I then had the blackened fresh catch swordfish, this was cooked to perfection and perhaps one of the nicest meals I’ve had here on island. While my husband had the paella, which he also thoroughly enjoyed. We then shared the chocolate mouse and an Irish coffee. The restaurant decor, service, food and presentation, everything was just perfect. I wanted to thank the restaurant for fitting us in last minute and giving us such an enjoyable meal, it was exactly what we were looking for when we left the house for the evening. I am looking forward to visiting again soon.More

We visited Blue Cilantro spontaneously on a Friday night. We ordered the pork two ways and the mussels for the starter which arrived quickly. While the pork has some very beautiful flavors the mussels were rather bland. The “white wine” broth was bland with no...flavor. For our main we ordered the ravioli which had a pleasant flavor but frantically a sad excuse for Italian food as a native Italian woman. We also had the paella which was the most disappointing part of the night. The variety of sea food obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly as I found myself crunching on a mouth full of sandy clams. The whole experience did NOT justify the extortionate price tag which we would have been more than happy to pay for providing the food was up to the standards promised. We will not return and we will certainly not recommend to our family and friends.More

My family and I loved brunch at Blue Cilantro for the past few years around 2 family members birthdays. This year we had a group of 25 people behind us. Usually groups that large are placed or should be placed in the room to the...left of the entrance. Instead as they all arrived, we were subject to their loud, obnoxious and crass language. This has always been a brunch you could bring kids to, we considered it more family style so we return year after year. We endured their behavior as the food slowed down. We spoke to the manager and politely asked if he could remind them that they are sharing the restaurant with other people, he said, it's brunch not dinner. A family in the same area complained, nothing done. Other group tables there for brunch and they were not overly loud at all. I work in hospitality and I could never answer a guest or deal with a complaint in such a dismissive manner, especially since the group didn't book the entire restaurant. The manager needs customer service training. This is not how we do things in Cayman. Luckily I experienced this before I suggested this brunch to one of our stay over guests.More
