It's simple. Order ahead and get a big lobster. They grill it and you eat it on a picnic table. Don't get fancy. Do what's local and best. You can check out the big cage of them on the dock. They will grill it and bring it to you to destroy/devour. Ok, apparently the lobster pasta is pretty dope, too.... More

This was our second time to visit Potter's. Sam made his visit to our boat soon after we moored in the harbor. His sales pitch for the restaurant is outstanding. What great enthusiasm!! We had a party of eight and all of us had the lobster. Everyone loved the food, excellent meal. However, our waitress must of had a bad... More

Potter’s by the Sea - Full lobster cost $50 (salad/potato/vegs), ½ lobster was $35. We headed in around 7ish to have dinner that night. They had set up tables for each boat and already had our entries order earlier in the day. Char and I both picked full lobsters, but I think we could have survived with just ½ lobsters.... More

We enjoyed our last evening on Anegada with dinner at Potter's. I had stopped over early in the AM to see if they were going to be open for dinner and was greeted with such a friendly and happy answer! I was given a menu and told him I'd be back before we headed to the beach to order, told... More

I am not the guy who orders lobster when I go to a restaurant but my wife loves it and really enjoyed Potters. Sam the cook, who has a very fun personality, was out marketing our sail boat as soon as we arrived. Made reservation for that night and we enjoyed the island with our friends and kids. Arrived that... More

We had a good meal here the other day. They cooked the fish and lobster we had caught with a local guide earlier that day for free which was kind. The wild rice with kidney beans was lovely and the fresh vegetables were a welcome dish after days at sea. The lobster was lovely and my children enjoyed the chicken... More

You have to do a lobster dinner while in Anegada, and this is a great place for it! Call well before 4 PM for reservations.

Your dinner order needs to be placed in advance however that doesn't mean you will be served timely much less what you ordered. Do not order any steak item. Not sure which animal they have chosen to use but it didn't taste or appear to be a cow. Side orders came out after the main course was eaten for those... More

Sam the proprietor serves up grilled lobster that is very tasty. Served with basic sides of salad, wild rice and streamed mixed vegetables. Our service was friendly and at a nice pace. You need to preorder your meal when you make a reservation. There is one seating at 7:30 pm for dinner. Campy, very casual, you dine at picnic tables.... More

We dropped in on Potter's Bar after a period of 14 years to find that Sam is now the licensee. Sam has played it well and he has a great "go-to" bar in this remote spot in the Western Atlantic. The Painkiller was very tasty and Sam fixed us up with everything we needed during a two day stay.
