NOT MUCH GOING ON HERE EXCEPT IT IS A GOOD PLACE TO ESCAPE THE SUN

We bought a diet coke and sat here for a few minutes to escape the sun on Devil's Beach. The view here is pretty and we were not chased out for "loitering". The hike down to this area is precarious and you have to take your time. There are kids running down the slippery hill here as fast as... read more

Great place, horrible, mean owner. No sense of business at all. Petty and extremely poor customer relations. Food is marginal. Drinks are marginal. Beach is great. Owner is a nightmare. Total shame as I have been to the sandbox many many times over 15 years. When she is not present it is a fantastic day. Can not recommend. Go to... More

This one was one of our favorite spots, great location and beautiful beach but we had a horrible experience with the owner last time. We have been there two days earlier and spent over $800 with our large party but today when we went back the owners wife who has taken over was there and instead of welcoming us, came... More

Just returned from North Sound and spent several afternoons at the Sandbox on Vixen Point. Actually first went to this place 25 years ago and aside from a new wall in the back and a couple new bar stools, the place hasn't changed very much. Great beach, great view and great water. Food and drink are a little on the... More

Our group of seven pulled up in a dinghy wandered around the beach and then headed to the Sand Box for lunch. Small menu written on a chalkboard, no prices, large shaded tables on the beach. Lunch consisted of burgers, fries, fish and chicken sandwiches and chicken roti, beer and sodas. Everything was fine, the chicken roti was really quite... More

We pulled up on a Dingy because it looked cool passing by. We felt very unwelcome. The place was fairly dead other then a family on the beach and the employees acted like we asked them to do hard labor when we asked to buy some drinks. There were flees all over the beach (seriously). The goats and cats wondering... More

Pulled up in a dinghy and enjoyed a beautifully cooked snapper sandwich and a rum punch - all while enjoying a stunning view of the North Sound. We were practically the only people there, I guess because it's not serviced by the water taxis so you need to find your own way over.

We've been to Sandbox numerous times for drinks on the beach. The service has always been good and drinks cold and well made. This is a rustic place, so it has never occurred to me to eat there. We go for the beauty and quiet. There are cats and goats all over BVI, so I don't see how you can... More

We stopped in for lunch at The Sand Box restaurant while sailing the BVI on Thanksgiving week. I ordered two fish sandwiches that were posted on the blackboard without prices. The waitress said they were out of fish so we ordered 2 hamburgers (without cheese or bacon) and 2 cokes. The bill came to $36. We couldn't eat the burgers... More
