The food here is prepared nicely. Their own smoked salmon is the best we have ever had. The scallops and lamp were delicious as were the sorbets. Service could be more attentive, but it is in keeping with the chill island vibe. Highly recommend dining...here. It is worth all the rave reviews.More

Fabulous from moment we entered. My husband picked his lobster for thermidor- delicious. I had the fresh sea bass and it was delicate and yummy. Even the French bread was crispy ( first time on the island) with real butter. Service impeccable. Wine delightful. Will...definitely return. My favorite on the island and I don’t say this lightly as I’m extraordinarily picky.More

Great service. Gracious manager/owner? The food was excellent, as was the atmosphere. Less up-scale feel than some other Grand Case restaurants. Reggret not having time to return on this trip.

Our very favorite for dinner on St Martin. The owners are present and participate. The food is superb. The escargot, onion soup, and veal dishes are our favorites. If you have the appetite try the Caribbean Lobster. Masterful French cuisine. The atmosphere is very friendly...and this is a fun place to be. Don't let the narrow streets put you off as there is plenty of parking in a nearby field parking lot. The cost is $5 which is refunded at the restaurants in the area.More

Mixed opinion here on this restaurant. Lovely atmosphere; good service with one glaring exception; no one comes during your meal to see how it is. We found that to be typical in SXM; no server comes over once the meal is served to check in....Perhaps that’s just not the custom? The staff is friendly. Our meals were of varying quality; the appetizer of Homemade smoked salmon with toasts, onions & capers was excellent. One main course of Sautéed sea scallops was excellent but the special Sea Bass was undercooked & not edible. When the server came to clear she noticed the dish was uneaten & asked why ( the chef examined the dish & apologized & didn’t charge us). Mistakes happen but it would have been nice if the server had checked in earlier. Note: the mashed potatoes were cold ( both this year & last year). The restaurant is always busy & my guess is that the chef made a mistake that hopefully isn’t typical. Excellent drinks! We were grateful not to have to pay for the inedible dish .More

I have been going here for over 20 years ad it is consistently excellent. Last week I returned to St. Martin for just one week and went to the restaurant 3 times and ordered my favorite; smoked salmon and lobster thermidor. Once again, all 3...meals were fantastic. I have eaten at fine dining restaurants all over the world and Bistrot Caraibes is the best by far!!!!More

Beautiful French restaurant in the heart of Grand Case! Enjoyed Fresh Lobster right out of the water! We had a nice quiet table in the back of the restaurant !

Awesome food & hospitality, we will definitely visit again. The signature Lobster dish was amazing. My wife had the Beef tenderloin and she really enjoyed it. All the staff were courteous, friendly & very attentive. It's a happening place for sure. Keith V

Found out about this place by staying at Owners rental Studio by Orient Beach. Decided to try the Lobster Thermidor for our Anniversary dinner and everything was fabulous. Good service, good selection of wines, fabulous meal and good desserts. We do plan on returning.

This was an amazing dinner spot and great atmosphere. I got the lamb and my date got some type of fish. The waitress recommended a wine to go with both of our meals, and it was perfect. Dessert was the chocolate cake and ice cream....Truly couldn’t have asked for a better meal or night.More

Located on the main street of Grand Case, Bistrot Caraibes is a busy restaurant with excellent, although pricey, French food with a Caribbean accent. I enjoyed the Caribbean Lobster Thermidor and the wine list, and we were seated outside, which provided for excellent people-watching and...even a glimpse of a Carnival float!More

The food was truly amazing. Every single dish was delicious. I can honestly say it was the best dinner and experience I had visiting St. Martin. The owners are nice, very hands on, going from table to table to ensure everyone is happy and enjoying...themselves. If I ever visit St. Martin again, I will be sure to dine here again. Reservations should definitely be made in advance, they book up very quickly. :)More

Fantastic restaurant from appetizer to desert. The escargot was delicious and husbands French Onion Soup was exceptional. Our filet mignon was prepared to perfection. Crème brûlée is always a favorite. Wine list was great. My cosmopolitan was made perfectly and absolutely love the glass they...serve it in. One of our favorite restaurants and look forward to our next visitMore
