I visited this restaurant on July 4th and the ambiance was set in a romantic red just over the grand case beach. The service was warm and the food and dessert delicious. Brought to our table was linguine pasta, snapper, and roasted duck. All three meals were top notch. Dessert was creme brulee with a scoop of ice cream which... More

Service and food are mediocre or e en bad, but they are asking 5 star prices. We were two couples and when we came in the waitress greeted everyone and handed out the menu, except my wife. She just throw the menu in front her on the table. My wife is coloured and the rest of us is white. I... More

This restaurant is all about the view. Sit by the railing if you can. The food is great. The scallops and duck were wonderful.

We visited this restaurant for our fancy dinner while in st. Maarten this year. Inside the restaurant is very tastefully decorated and we sat at a table right by the water. They have lights shining into the beautiful turquoise water and occasionally can see fish swim by. Our waiter was superb.m he recommended a French white wine which paired very... More

We stumbled in here for lunch and wow! The view, the food, the service, all were phenomenal! The creme brûlée was life changing.

I did have doubts about this place since it was nearly empty and Le Cottage across the street was full. Although some have complained of their red wine being chilled, it is customary in hotter climates so don't be surprised or think the restaurant doesn't know what its doing. The onion soup was delicious. The lobster bisque was not. Management,... More

We returned this year to L'Escapade and were definitely not disappointed. Their escargot is so good. The owner even remembered us. They have a nice chanteneuf du pape in the Mont Redon. Someone had broken into their lobster tank, so we didn't get our favorite lobster. :-( That worked out just fine though because their shrimp and sea bass is... More

Our host Jerry was super welcoming and attentive. Our group of six really enjoyed our meal. The view of the sunset over the water was gorgeous. We had the mussels, escargot and Cesar salad to start which were all good. The seafood soup was really great. Jerry recommended a reasonably priced and very good bottle of wine to go with... More

During our evening we were treated like royalty. The staff attended to our every need or desire. The food was fantastic. We each had a soup for an appetizer and then three different seafood dishes for dinner. Each were enjoyed. The view was fantastic. Right on the water. The atmosphere was lovely, welcoming and enchanting. No surprises on the bill.... More

It's a nice view and good service. My meal was so so, but everybody else was fairly happy. Here's the rub....the French Police force have road blocks set up at various locations leaving the "French Restaurant Capital of the Caribbean". Guess what, I failed a breathalyzer test after 2 glasses of red wine. My wine was a measured pour and... More
