We have been coming to St Maarten for many years and have mostly stayed in the Simpson Bay area. Cafe Atlantico is a place we visit at least 3 times a week. Their breakfast pastries are melt in your mouth delicious and their lunch sandwiches...More
Please stop by this family owned restaurant open for breakfast and lunch ! The omelette was tasty and the fresh baguette was outstanding ! Take sandwiches to the beach ! The turkey sandwiches are very good and the chocolate croissant’s are mouth watering!
Café Atlantico is a favorite among locals and most likely among the tourists as well. I come here for breakfast sometimes 3 days a week. It's affordable, quick, and the staff is friendly and personable. If you need a fast bite on your way to...More
Had our last day breakfast here before going to the airport. Menu had lots of choices, bakery items were fresh and wonderful. Also, lunch choices from the menu looked great. It’s a small place with only several tables, but definitely worth the stop.
Fantastic baguettes and pastries. We purchased sandwiches to take from here for our flight home - they were delicious and way better than anything we could have purchased on the plane. Highly recommend!

It would definitely be a hike but if you are into walking it is doable. It is on Welfare Rd across from the now closed Grande Marche. It has, I believe a red awning and is a light yellow building. There is also an empty lot next to it with a train car container in it. At least there was when we were there in March 2016. It is worth the walk! So yummy :) There is usually a lot of cars parked in front of it. They have also just added a covered area which is made of wood so people can sit out in the shade. Hope this helps :)
The coffee is great, a lot of people come in for take away as well.
Local, not local. hmm depends the definition... it is mainly visited by residents (of many colors :-D) and yacht owners.
It is my favorite place !
