About
Croissant Royal is a great place to grab breakfast or lunch at Marina Royal, Saint Martin. First and for most, our croissants are OUT OF THIS WORLD. It would be a crime to live and/or visit SXM and not try them at least once. Don't be mislead by the name, this is not a luxurious or overly fancy kind of place. It's warm, friendly, clean and reasonably priced , with a quick turn around and high quality food with a great view of the Marina. Open every day from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

This place is a hole in the wall right on the water, affordable for St Martin, and great breakfast. My husband had the crepes and loved them. I had the croissant with the works. Evidently, I’ve never had a real French croissant because this thing...was better than any croissant I’ve ever had in America. And the cafe au lait was delicious.More

Every year when we visit we make a trip or two from Grand Case for breakfast. Something was off this year and we did not see the man who is usually running the restaurant and taking orders. So things just did not feel the same...and we are wondering if the place has changed ownership.More

This was our favorite breakfast place in Marigot 10+ years ago. Fast rewind, the place is still there, in the middle of dilapidated marina and building structures. The food was an average at best with the exception of crepe which was just bad. Service was...slow and forgetful, literally every other table had a problem with their order. I would not recommend this place.More

Had breakfast here one morning and I'm glad we did. I had high hopes for the croissants being on the French side of the island and these did not disappoint! The ham, egg, and cheese crepe was excellent but the croissants, both plain and chocolate,...were amazing!More

Lovely place with a fine view, terrific staff, charmingly simple menu with delicious food at affordable prices. Not even remotely fancy, and it shouldn't be. But there's an unmistakable French and Caribbean aura.

A big group of us ate at this restaurant. The overall service was ok, nothing to really comment on. The food was average, but my son loved the pepperoni pizza and the chicken sandwich was good as well! Would I come back? not sure but...decent breakfast.More

It’s possible this restaurant has taken its continued success after Irma for granted, but the food is average and service somewhat lazy. The pain au chocolat was excellent though. It would be reasonable to eat here, but also reasonable to move on.

My hubby and I (he's local, I'm not) have been wanting to find a spot that had sandwiches a bit different to the typical meat on a baguette where we could not only eat great food but to sit and have a coffee and chat...with a great view. Found it!! We ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a tuna croissant with fries. Let me tell you, the croissants were fresh and toasty and the meats of great quality. They even make their own fries -- not the bagged stuff -- actual potatoes peeled, fried, and salted. Our space was clean. The air breezy. And our server, had great customer service skills. This visit did not disappoint and we will be returning! Thank you Croissant Royal!More

We visited Croissant Royal twice. The first visit a year ago was great. The service was a little off but the food we ordered was delicious. During the most recent visit a lot went wrong. First my crepe with shrimp and mussels came with mussels,...fake crab (which makes me sick) and no shrimp. I returned my dish after the first 3 bites. Server insisted that the "seafood mix" is what they serve on all their "shrimp dishes" and that I should have expected it. Pizza, my kids ordered, came without olives despite olives being listed as an ingredient. When asked for olives they brought some dark brown olives with pits. Are whole olives served on pizza? Ugh. Then we waited for about 30 min to my husband's salmon crepe only to learn that they run out of salmon. When it came to paying the bill, they still wanted to charge us for their miss advertised crepe. The server said that she couldn't take it off the bill because I already ate it (3 bites). After very unprofessional back and forth (part of which was carried in French between the 2 servers and another guest that happened to be sitting at the bar, we don't speak French, which they knew) they finally took the charge off. I'm from Europe, I'm used to blunt communication and lack of sugar coating but this was an absolutely atrocious and disrespectful behavior that I haven't experienced before. How are they still staying in business is beyond me.More

We had the special - a ham & cheese stuffed crepe with a fried egg in the middle. It was absolutely delicious. We also had warm croissants 🥐 freshly made right out of the oven! My husband enjoyed the hot milk for his coffee. Generous...portions. Situated on a patio overlooking the marina. Great friendly service, delicious food. We will be back! The warm breeze felt great, having come from a freezing Canadian winter 🥶!More

When we travel it seems finding an epic spot for breakfast and cappuccinos is foundational for the great stay which inevitably follows …and Le Croissant Royal in Grand Case, Saint Martin hit the mark perfectly. The crêpes, croissants and French toast were amazing …and the...cappuccinos?? peut-être les meillures du monde. Seriously, Yvose creates a magical cappuccino and it became a priority to return several times for a cup or two. Definitely a highlight for us.More

We stopped at Croissant Royale twice during our weeklong stay at Saint Martin. Since we were traveling on the island with two young children our typical lunchtime was 12, which by both island and French standards is very early! We loved having this place that...we could both come to for breakfast as well as an early lunch. The service was spectacular and the croissants were some of the best that I’ve ever had. We ordered the ham and cheese crêpe, the cheese crêpe, the avocado salad, plain croissants and chocolate croissants, American breakfast with eggs and bacon, and coffee and orange juice. Service was really nice and quick. Most people were not wearing masks but we were vaccinated and felt safe for Covid measures since we were all sitting outside and fairly distant. It was nice to look at the water and some of the boats nearby and sipping coffee. For much younger children (our daughter was 20 months) the edge of the restaurant kind of goes right off the dock so you’ll have to keep an eye on your little ones but there’s also some other areas that are nice to walk with the children to keep them busy. As with many restaurants they didn’t have high chairs. The kids really enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice.More
