This place is a must. The chef and his wife were so accommodating. The chef started our experience by taking us in his kitchen and showing us what he has made and describing the dishes. The goat cheese salad is a MUST I will crave...that forever. The lasagna was also amazing! Thank you John for wonderful service and experience!More

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch here while visiting Marigot! The owners make you feel like you are in their home by explaining the dishes on the menu and even bringing them over to the table to show you!!! My husband had the...chicken cordon blue and I had one of the best lasagnas I have ever eaten! We enjoyed both of our meals and you must have the chocolate mouse to end your meal!!More

We had the chicken cordon blue and beef bourguignon. Both meals were excellent. Chocolate mousse was the best I ever had. Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

This place looks like a small snack bar but Jean-Baptiste was happy to take us back into the kitchen for a preview of a range of excellent meals. We chose 4 very different entrees and each was very good. And the chocolate mousse really is...as good as the rest of the reviews suggest. Marigot is still recovering from Hurricane Irma, so there isn't much ambience. We came early because they posted closing hours well before we wanted to eat, but we were assured they'd be open well beyond their posted hours if we wished to come back. We did - and this really was one of the warmest welcomes and tastiest surprises of our visit to Marigot.More

I had read some reviews on this site so we went one afternoon to try this place but it was closed. The owner Jean Baptiste and his wife Paula were there getting it ready after the summer break and told us it would be opening...again on Thursday. We had other plans for that day but switched them to try it as they were very nice. When we arrive Jean Baptiste (JB) greeted us, remembering we had visited a couple of days before. He took us into the kitchen and showed us everything that was on the menu, with very descriptive tastes and why he has it on the menu, and we tasted a couple of the dishes. How many restaurants have you been to where you can see the kitchen, let alone walk into it, look in every fridge, see the dishes and taste a couple. You can tell they are both passionate about the food. We sat down and looked over the menu while drinking a glass of wine. During that time Paula was in the kitchen preparing and JB was taking orders and bringing food out to the tables. Even though he was busy, he stopped to talk to many of the guests and also greeted many people he knew that were walking by. We were there for a late lunch and I decided to have the Lasagna and Judy the Veal, with french fries, cauliflower and zucchini gratin. The both came out hot and tasted delicious. We decided to get takeaway for dinner and took home a goat cheese and regular quiche for dinner, and Chocolate Mouse and Flan for dessert. We ate like kings for the day and the price was probably half what you would have paid somewhere else for just one meal. We liked everything so much we returned the following day and I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu that looked so nice when JB took us around the kitchen and Judy the Beef Bourguignon . Again we bought more dessert to take home. Even though these were the last 2 days in St Maarten it didn't make any sense to go and find another restaurant, we had explored all week eating local food but this was the gem of the vacation. The food and hosts were great and the price can't be beat. We strongly recommend you go and try it for yourself, I don't think you'll be disappointed.More

Really great home cooked meals by and for local residents and workers. Jean-Baptiste and Paula are friendly and enjoyable people. On the backside of the north side Port Royal Marina it is a nice option to the waterside tourist restaurants. Having lived and worked on...the nearby island of Statia, and having been coming to St. Martin for 24 years, this is one of our favorite places for a good meal. The Blanquette de Veau and White Lasagna are favorites! The Chocolate Mousse is made by Paula every morning! Don't miss it. Open for lunch monday thru friday. Beer and wine. Not sure about other liquor. Not "a scenic view" as checked below, but a friendly local atmosphere to be enjoyed for what it is. Part of the community. A pleasant place and experience. Highly recommend .... Don't miss it!More

Authentic food from Northern France! Absolutely LOVED everything! The chef took us to the back and showed us what he and his wife had made for the day (all made fresh daily) as we arrived at round 2:20 and some of the options had been...eaten by hungry locals and tourists. I ordered the Veal Normandy which was melt in your mouth and my husband had the beef Bourgogne which was the best either of us had ever had and we have gotten around France! We finished with the dreamy chocolate soufflé and the flan which was perfection. We will be back again! Thank you Jean Baptist’s and Paula! Much love from Ohio! ❤️More

Gracious chef/hosts/owners Jean Baptist and his wife Paula do their best to welcome all of their customers. Had lunch today with a serving of homemade lasagne and a hamburger (served on baguette) and french fries. Both were very good; followed by classic chocolate mousse.

Jean Baptiste, and Paula are wonderful. The food is amazing, and to be led into the kitchen to see what's available that day is a wonderful experience. We had lunch there in May 2018, and it was so good that we dragged our friends there...after our 7 day Catamaran cruise. The 2nd visit was as wonderful as the 1st. SAVE ROOM FOR THE CHOCALATE MOUSSE!!!! It's a must have. Several outdoor tables, and an open window area with stools. Going back this month and can't wait to return for a great lunch and visit with them. We were able to park in a lot very close to it.More
