Pureocean is the name Divi uses for its main restaurant near the water at several of its resorts like in Aruba and Barbados. This one is more indoors than some others but there are outside tables available as well. We had a bottle of wine...given to us by the resort and were allowed to bring it into the restaurant for all to share. We ordered a variety of beef and fish dinners. All were very good, none was outstanding. The service was excellent.More

The meal was pretty bad. This is probably the first time that I ordered an appetizer and refused to take a single bite. The main dishes for both my wife and myself were not good either. There are definitely much better restaurants on the island...to choose from.More

The Pureocean is a very good restaurant at the resort. The service is good but can be a little slow. Prices are reasonable for the island.

Some evenings the food was delicious, others for the same meal it was dry/overcooked. Prices are outrageous, and they have an up charge on most entrees even for those paying for All Inclusive. Andrew (our waiter) was the best thing this restaurant has to offer.

It's a resort restaurant, so the food is going to be more expensive compared to similar quality food you would find elsewhere. We went here twice for dinner while staying at Divi and a few times for breakfast. We went on their "Caribbean" theme night,...I got the BBQ mahi mahi which came with a vegetable mix and house salad. The fish was a good sized portion and tasted good, the sides were alright. My husband got the shrimp which was very good but not a huge portion size. On another night I got the pasta with basil pesto and grilled chicken which was a large portion, tasted good, but nothing particularly special. My husband got a steak special (ribeye) with a mushroom sauce that he loved, he said it was one of the most flavorful steaks he has had even though it wasn't the best quality meat he had ever had. The meal also comes with bread and a garlic/herb butter and tomato spread before the meal, all of which was good as well! For desserts we tried the molten chocolate cake with ice cream, the carrot cake, and the cheesecake. The chocolate cake was very good, the carrot cake was fine (served very cold, which I don't really like for cake), and the cheesecake was not good - it had a nice shortbread style crust, but the filling was not very creamy, more just dense, and the berry topping was very bitter and did not complement the caramel sauce at all. Each night though we had awesome service, and the restaurant is very clean with a nice atmosphere - however, you need to make a reservation if you want to sit outside. For breakfast we always did the breakfast buffet, as you get most of the same options you would get for a la carte for a slightly higher price ($22 / person for the buffet). The buffet on one side had cold cut meats/cheeses, basic breads/bagels with spreads (peanut butter, marmalade, cream cheese, syrup, honey), some small pastries (croissants), corn flakes, fresh fruit, and juice/coffee. On the hot side there were always scrambled eggs (made to order omelette station as well), bacon, sausage links, breakfast potatoes/onions, corned beef hash, made-to-order waffles, oatmeal, and pancakes. On different days there were also mushrooms, fried plantains, salt fish, pinto beans with peppers, johnny cakes, french toast, french bread, and chilaquiles. Overall good variety and depending on what/how much you eat, a decent value. The food quality on the buffet was decent, we really liked the pancakes/waffles and the beans/potatoes were pretty good, the eggs didn't have much flavor and the quality/variety of the fresh fruit depended on the day. Again, good service.More

My husband and I stayed at the Divi Little Bay for one week and ate at Pureocean during our stay. We order the scallops as an appetizer to share. It was plated very elegantly but not much food for the price. For my entree I...order the Filet Mignon which was prepared well and my husband ordered the pork chops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegantly and relaxing. It was a bit pricey but it was an enjoyable evening.More
